I will back him like I do with every manager

However I would be very surprised if any of genuinely look at what he done in football management and think.

That's the man for us lets go and get him and pay composition for him.

Can you tell what it is exactly that you find inspiring?

I hate to answer a question with a question - but what did you actually find inspiring about Andy thorn?

He is a good solid choice for us, and the best we could hope for at the moment. After the Thorn debacle it is refreshing to have proper managers in charge of the club again.

He apparently likes to play football on the floor and is not a fan of hoofball, something which was continually used to praise another recent manager.

I don't think this is the right way for us at this time but not my choice in this matter. Regardless he gets my 100% backing.

You say we have gone for the cheapest option. A cheap option by definition would be a manager not already at another club.

The fact is several clubs have been linked with Presley and his reputation as an emerging manager in Scotland is good.

The only reason anyone considered black is because he is a former manager and is purely nostalgia. If we had appointed anyone else who was out of work had not managed for several years and then only half a season you would be complaining he was a cheap option.

On the face of it Sillett was a cheap option and Atkinson an inspired one. No one can tell.

Your another know it all, how the fuck do you know he still was the cheapest option even with the compo included, YOU DON'T, so don't give me your smarmy comebacks chap. How the fuck do you know what i'd think if we were to offer some out of work manager a job,how do you know what i'd think,YOU DON'T so stop putting words in my bloody mouth you fool
You are exactly like the rest of us, you know fuck all, its all guesswork/opinions, but you come across as you know something we don't, but you don't do you Grenduffy, or whatever username you'll use next time your discredited.

That's a big positive for me, our team is built for passing football.

You stated on your previous rant "why do we always go for the cheapest option" so it's you that quote a fact. The fact of course is incorrect as the cheapest option would be to employ internally.

Only one person getting embarrassing and its not me.

Well we know that you are making negative statements about this manager. We know you said he is the cheapest option and he managed a pub side.

We know you said we wanted ambition so I think it's not a huge leap of faith given your current angst that had we announced an appointment of someone who had only ever been a manager for 6 months some 8 years ago that you would have been somewhat critical. Do you?

Some are unbelievable...I haven't checked & nor will I - but I wouldn't be amazed if the same "who'd want to come to a crap club like this" brigade are now spouting about how rubbish he's going to be..."look at his record" the will cry.

Everybody has to start somewhere - & at a time when we critically need passion & belief...he must be a man who believes in his own ability - otherwise he would stay in his Falkirk nest! But no - he wants to build on something we have here & he's going in with his eyes open to it all.
If he comes I wish him all the very best & am right behind him come what may!!!

It might be useful to do so! I'm seeing a lot of outrage, but not many culprits. At worst, people seem to be saying he wouldn't be their first choice - but there is a huge distinction between that and saying he will fail/stands no chance/won't get their backing.

I follow Scottish football quite closely up here and must admit this one has me stumped. Falkirk's best accomplishments under him have all been in the cup and he oversaw them getting relegated from a very poor SPL. The league below is utterly appalling but promotion has not looked vaguely on the cards since last season-if we were looking at any manager in Scotland right now it should be Derek Adams at Ross County, who are playing some of the best stuff apart from Celtic.

Saying that-Pressley has seen major financial challenges at Hearts (as caretaker), and fared reasonably well. His teams have handled big occasions well (as their list of cup upsets under him would show), but on the whole his record is distinctly average.

The squad is more than good enough.
It's just 5 managers in one season isn't the norm

Willing to trust Waggott a bit, he took his time and got the right man for the time in Mark Robins, can only have faith that he'll do the same again.

There is an argument to be had that we did not get the right man last time, cos he walked and had done so in his past.

Not really !!
We did get the right man last time just unfortunate all the other clubs out there noticed also. Also MR was very ambitious which was a good quality which attracted Waggot the problem was Sisu's ambitions didn't match.

I'm thinking that SP must have been interviewed last time round and impressed Waggot then. It just seems strange there must have been a reason for Waggot to approach SP this time or SP must have sent him his CV.
