If he started straight with us after quitting because of not getting assurances from the Swindon owners, would he be a Judas?

He could be the perfect motivator to push us up the table, Clarke would have to get on with it.

Can't stand the bloke. But again, it's not a personality contest and he could do a job.

I imagine there will be clauses in managers contracts to prevent them from resigning then I mediately joining another club, unless that club pays compensation.

I do believe actually that he is putting football on the backburner for the time being, after being offered the opportunity to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, as they want to see his Goose Step.

Can't see it happening, he'll be too unpredictable for the board and just as liable to walk out on us

Italian fascists don't have a problem with Jews. 5 of the original Fasci Italiani di Combattimento were Jewish.

Just resigned because he can't keep spending whatever he pleases-so naturally he'd want to come here.

He resigned because his position became untenable as he was made a 'number of broken promises' by the board.....Jesus.. it would be like a revolving door if he came here......in-round and out....

Hmmm ..... in 1938 Mussolini’s Fascist government forbade Jewish children to attend public or private schools, ordered the dismissal of Jews from professorships in all universities, and banned Jews from the civil service and military as well as the banking and insurance industries.

Yep. No problem with the Jews at all.

Strangely around the same time as the rise of the National Socialists. Opportunism. Italian fascists really don't have a problem with Jews. Wikipedia isn't always reliable.

There are qualitative differences between German fascism and Italian fascism. That's a fact. I'm not endorsing either.

If one form were preferable in any way to the other they wouldn't be reviled in equal measure-I'll stop there to keep the thread on topic.

Wasn't from Wikipedia. Was from The New York Times.

Anyway, best not go off topic.
