On Radio 5 a few minutes ago...

Which player appeared alongside Paul Telfer, Xavi Alonso, Scott Carson and Shaun Wright Phillips (there may have been another one mentioned as well, but I've forgotten!)

Can anybody here get it - and no, I don't know the answer!

Telfer had a short stint at Leeds, as did Scott Carson - so i'm guessing it could be that club, though can't remember the others there!

Maybe. Alonso signed for Liverpool at start of 2004/05 season and according to Wiki, Kirkland played the first 14 games of that season before being out with injury. He left Liverpool start 2005 season on loan at WBA and never played for Liverpool after.

Unless wiki is wrong Telfer and Fowler were at leeds at different times

Sorry, was me being slow on the uptake. I was scratching my head wondering how they all played alongside each other in the same team!
I was thinking, “I must have slept through those games that Telfer played alongside xabi alonso...at Real Madrid”!?!

My original thought, but couldn't place him playing with Telfer (so stopped at that point, rightly or wrongly)

Forgot that Telfer was at Leeds until a Leeds mate of mine reminded me also that he has a Scotland cap aswell!
Just for the record he was as bad at Leeds as he was for us.
