I mean he literally told Bristol city he supported man United so glory hunters were always around.Unfortunately not, plenty of the younger lads say Cov, Cov city and Coventry, whether you like it or not. Such is the prominence of glory hunters, if you say you support City to most lads under the age of 35, they assume you mean Manchester City.

I say Cov outside Coventry but when there I’d always say “going up the city”, “did you see the city game” etc.
Depends who you’re talking to. If I’m talking to someone from around here who thinks they support Chelsea or whoever, I’ll say Cov. Because if I say ‘City’, they’ll assume Man City, therefore a complete waste of conversation. Anywhere around the midlands I’ll say Cov while talking about location or team as most will know.

To people who aren't that knowledgeable with football, most generic Prem team fans, you just say you support Coventry. Cov for people who actually know ball (I use this more than anything.) City to people within the City, I've never lived in Cov though. My old man RIP, used to say going up the City.
