So bizzare the bloke last season took over transformed the team and saved us from relegation. He then lost Westwood, Gunner, Marlon, Juke, Turner and was told to replace them with kids and now Cov are facing relaegation. Who would have thought it, sell/and or release all your best players, replace then with kids and Cov are performing not as well. I think you all right surely after doing that we should be top of the league! Sack Thorn get him out he clearly cant perform miracles get in Fergie or Martin O'neil do it quick

Totally agree, our league postion is entirely down to AT's mis-mangement and SISU are being made scapegoats

Transformed the team? 14 points from ten games is not a transformation (same as Boothroyds first 10 games). No wins in the last four last season. Away record - 1 win in 20 crossing both seasons (21 if you include high flying Bury). Sorry don't want miracles but just acceptable levels of performance - this isn't.

Yes prior to the SISU hatchett job or should I say recoupping personal debts before allowing the club to go into administration. So prior to losing these key players Thorn enjoyed a successful close to the season under his leadership, Coventry lost only one game.

After the hachett job his record is poor. So was he lucky last season or is it possible he is the same manager just as good but the loss of some of best players in the championship has caused the loss of form

They lost 2 games and the win ratio is 30% same as Coleman and Boothroyd.

This argument keeps coming back and folks you have very selective memory!

Of the players we lost in that list Westwood was at times well over rated for me and he is currently on the bench at Sunderland having failed to keep his place, Turner was injured for almost all of that season, Gunnarrson had lost his form for some time and at Cardiff is hardly doing any better and currently in and out of that side. The Juke was by no means a success as half his goal tally were penalties and he can hardly hit a barn door. finally King who came in later, had injuries and also had himself red carded and missing for a number of games?

All in all then the players listed you claim are the reason why Thorn is struggling now? Those same players really did not have much impact last season did they?

I'm tired of this debate though. We should all be fighting SISU off because it is entirely their fault.

Fans like Duffy refuse to protest against SISU but will campaign to have a good man getting attractive football out of a bunch of children sacked!

People need to sort their priorities out.

I'm just waiting for a poster to say "it doesn't matter what players are out there on the pitch, Thorn should make them win". It's really getting to that stage now.

Christie was playing rugby for Woodlands just 2 years ago, now he's playing 2nd tier professional football on a weekly basis. Along with the likes of Clarke, Bigi, and Thomas, far more has been asked of these guys than would've been in an ideal situation. They've acquitted themselves well so far, and all credit to them for their effort this season. We have a really promising youth set-up under Rioch and Carsley, but SISU are messing up these guys' development by providing no cover.

Last year when Nathan Cameron started the season no one questioned it. I think if you look at the stats it's not as uncommon as you may think,

Dead right - King scored one goal in outfield play under Thorn, Gunnarson (though I was a fan) was ritually slagged off by many and our goals against ration is no worse then than it is under Murphy. And as you say Turner never even played a game for Thorn.

The number of 1st team players lost in the summer and the number of youngsters we've had to field IS unique when added together.

It was a relegation threatened squad LAST season. Now oddly a few posters - in an attempt to have a pop at Thorn, are pretending the squad is fine.

At no point did thorn ever transform the team. He did no better than hoofroyd when he first came into the job. In my opinion it was the new manager lifts the players scenario.
It works nearly every time and is exactly what we need now to have any chance of staying in this division!

Are you suggesting Juke was our golden boy?

For me he was poor at best. As a striker his goals ratio was poor from open play. When we sold him I thought that was good business.
He was a player that was never going to be the difference between us being good or bad. I think most people on here would probably rate him 50/50. Certainly in my opinion no great loss. I would have Nimely over him any day.

'Decimated' is a strong word, but yes, AT unquestionably had less to work with. No argument there. That doesn't mean that a historically low number of points is acceptable to all of us.
