A great read... Brought back a lot of memories. I think 85/86 was my third year as a season ticket holder, little did I know what next season would bring... Happy, happy days:)

Great read and memories come flooding back as I love all this flash back stuff and our great clubs history. I hope our squad is educated in our history by the off the pitch staff, club historian as the players need the great escapes of our history need to mobilise as a unit with the same spirit to a man!

It's strange going through the fixtures I remember more of the away games, eg getting to Sheff Wed by 11am, breaking down on M6 & missing hammering at Man City, Lloyd McGrath marking Hoddle out of the game at WHL, being 2-0 in first 10 minutes at Forest & then getting hammered whilst Stuart Pearce was just a sub for Forest and the hammering at Anfield yet the City faithful sang all through the game. Great memories.
