Been going to the stadium since it was built, the roadworks and road closures are causing headaches for so many

I usually park in Tescos for £18.00 a game now that isn’t available!

Are the club trying to push fans away, the product on the pitch is already shit enough

I appreciate that they have put shuttles buses on but they don’t seem to think about the travelling fan

can someone help and advise where I can park my car to get access to m6?

thanks in advance!

We park near the Greyhound and walk along the canal. It takes about 30 minutes to walk back so we normally get to the car for 5:30 & we drive towards Bedworth and get on the A444 the other side of the motorway & although that has a couple of lanes closed at the roundabout we get on the m6 by about 6pm. Sometimes we take our friend back to Sheldon and drive from the Greyhound towards the Foleshill Road & despite all the traffic get to Sheldon just after 6 so it is slightly quicker. You could get on m42 at the NEC and gen onto the m6 but of course if your want the m6 south it is no good to you.

Use either Just Park or Your Parking space. I use these all the time for away matches.

Just looked on Just Park and you can park in Glenmore Drive tomorrow for £9 so it will save you £9 as well and you’re right by junction 3

The 1st home game this season it took me 45 minutes from the Greyhound and onto the M6 and most of that time was on Pickards Way, has that improved or is it still just as bad? Since then I have either got onto M6 from Bedworth side of A444 or headed back to city centre to get on A45.

I would just park in Tesco anyway, I don't think there are ANPR cameras there that I have seen, despite their banners saying so when you drive in

Just park anywhere East of the Arena, and then head to junction 2 once back in your car. Much easier and quicker.

Get fuel (>£50) in Tesco, keep receipt and park in there. Be strategic where you park though, ie. somewhere on the outer roads, for a quicker get away. If you are in the middle, you'll be there for a while.

There's a car park outside the Nova Hotel, 15 minutes walk to the CBS and easy access to junction 3 M6.

Nova Hotel postcode CV6 6HL

Good job we don't gave to rush back and buy the Pink before the newsagent shuts at 6pm (did anyone buy them if we lost?).

Massive myth new out of town grounds, just like out of town shopping centres being worse as you now have to drive to them and creates more rather than less traffic. Dad had to drive from Warwick but we were still back home much sooner from HR and yet this was supposedly in part a traffic decision to move us with a stupid 2 mile exclusion zone so rip off car parks can charge £20. Tbf the best thing they could do would be scrap the zone, if parking was spread out and you walked to the car it would flow at varying times so faster.

That brings back memories - I only used to go when we won, but was so excited to cycle round to our local shop, waiting for the delivery van. Oh, the happy days as a kid when you took wins at face value and didn’t appreciate the financial reality of not supporting one of the “big” clubs.

I know this is not parking but does any one know if Coventry Arena railway station is an option? or is it closed on match days?
if it was it looks like a decent get away.

It's open. Expect to be packed onto a carriage but it is doable.

The price of the match ticket should include free train travel like Brighton do. There needs to be at least 4 trains per hour as well. The situation with the station there is just a joke at the moment.

All buses within their travel zone are also included for Brighton/away fans.

I wonder how much Brighton pay for this? Must be quite a major cost?

The train situation is never going to be resolved unfortunately. We'll likely see light rail first and that won't be for over a decade.

No idea about the cost but they’ve been doing it since the stadium first opened.

The green travel plan is a joke never mind just the station.

They come up with these ideas and then they don't put the infrastructure to support it, typical council government planning.

I noticed this week that Brighton also signed up to a scheme where their away supporters get 20% off rail travel.
