Am considering parking options for next season. Does anyone currently park in Tesco arena car park and spend £50 each week?
How does it work, do the parking company that regulates the site send a fine and once copies of receipts are provided they then cancel the charge?

Any advice much appreciated.

The stadium parking is 275 this season , that's 1 alternative

Always too wary of the fines at Tesco. I usually park at St. Finnbars, £5 on the gate. Little bit of walk but passes a decent chippy

Just use JustPark or similar app, it’s much cheaper and you can park less than 10 mins walk away.

I parked at Tescos twice last season, spent £50 both times and never got a ticket although neither time was a Saturday 3pm kick off. I have seen parking attendants selling tickets so I am not sure you have to pre book it. Getting out can be a nightmare. I think @Sick Boy suggestion about using just park is a better solution especially for getting away. If you need to get on the M6 northbound apparently there is another way to get on it through a service road.

Just Park or My Parking Space you can get spots within 10 min walk for about £8 if booked a week in advance.

We park in the field opposite the Novotel. 10/15 minute walk and 2 mins to get on the M6.

I always park at Christ the King and pay the £10 online. Is it also a fiver on the day there? Guessing so as it's the same company. I had no idea it was cheaper on the day!

Not sure about Christ the King, but if you book online there's always a booking fee so I guess it's the sane story there

I buy a £50 voucher which I use on food shop/diesel every time but have not once received a fine. I keep receipt for two weeks just in case.

Buy a £50 gift card or spend on petrol to park there, but to be honest I've never received a fine from them. Toss a coin on how long it takes you to get out of there though. Could be a minute, could be an hour.

You know what, fuck sake, Rip off Britain at its worst , incredible charges all round to park a car to go and pay to watch a football match. We’ve just got blasé and used to the horrific profiteering in this country and we barely protest anything. My wife has to pay £60+ per month to park a car and work at UHCW hospital !

I do think it's disgusting that hospital workers have to pay to park for work. Though the charges for everyone, who are clearly only going to be there because either they or someone they care about is ill.

But what really makes me angry is that it doesn't go to the hospital.

Does anyone simply ignore the zone restriction signs in the residential areas and just park there ? Was wondering if there are any wardens patrolling. I've never seen any and sometimes some of the streets have umpteen cars parked on match day without any residential pass on display

They are around, not always in the same area. I live in one of the zones, and see them from time to time as I walk up. Also seen people parking in Longford Park, ok at the weekend but at night game they come and lock the gates, seen people stuck in there a few times.

There is parking allowed on the pavement on Longford Road between the canal bridge and Blackburn Road. Presumably this is for locals but I've never seen a single car parked there with a permit. There are plenty of signs for all the roads off Longford Road warning of match day restrictions but I don't recall seeing any at all on Longford Road itself, though I could be wrong.

For the first time ever they ticketed a car on the road I park on within the zone that I’ve always thought to be a bit too far out for the wardens to care about.
They’ve definitely been around more last season.

The season before last we played QPR at night and it was hammering it down. I used to park in the Cherry Tree but I was late and it was full. I thought no sane traffic warden would be out ticketing cars so just parked on one of the side streets. £35 fine

I’ve seen them ticketed for parking on the pavement on non match days.

permits are now electronic, the old windscreen ones are no longer issued. They may even be no longer valid. That said when you register a car I think it’s on for good until you replace with another.

Residents can apply for a visitor’s permit I have them for my kids if they visit, but it is quite a ball ache to do so now I just put our cars on the street and let them park on the drive

Spot on. Just like we have got used to paying additional fees to Ticketmaster .
Paying to work at a hospital is an absolute scandal and yet it continues. Penalised for looking after those who are sick.

Same in Italy - my wife has to park on the street and risk a fine because there’s only a private car park that’s €80 a month.

There was a time when HMRC was suggesting that free parking would be considered a Benefit In Kind and imcome tax applied, not sure if that’s still theoretically the case.

At least the corridors at UHCW are always being painted white,

The hospital parking is a totally different story (not to mention but a disgrace). But ultimately the car parking spaces around the CBS are worth whatever people will pay for them. If you want to protest them, don’t park there.

The bigger issue with the CBS isn’t the cost of parking, it’s the lack of public transport options and accessibility.

You will now get those on stating years ago when crowds were far less than now, transport plans were cut back through lack of use.

I had a half season pass for Christ the king for the season just finished. The prices for the off site for next season go up after Friday I was hoping to get a price for on site preferably car park c but I can’t find any info for it on the website. I would just like to know if prices for on site season ticket prices are out or when they might be please. Thanks.
