Our old parking space has become a bit of a nightmare, we used to pay a quid to nip through a car park and walk along the canal, but now it's closed we have a rather long and annoying walk through a muddy field. Thought we could park in Tesco car park and walk over. How much do you have to spend in the shops in order to qualify? Thanks in advance.

In theory I believe it's still £25, but as there's no one there to check, the reality is nothing needs to be spent. I've parked there each game and don't buy anything.

Thank man. So usually there is a bloke on the gate, checking receipts when you leave?

I can't recall the last time they had anyone checking, certainly most of last season and all this, no one has been there. You can just buy a gift voucher if you don't want to risk it, and don't want to do any shopping.

I usually get there about 1:30pm, get a decent space near the end by the stadium for a quick getaway. The Mrs always has a few odds and sods for me to get from Tescos, although never been checked one time since our return...
