Wait for the whistle where were sat (PP in 19) and it takes 10 minutes or more to get out the stadium, by the time you've got to C you're fucked. I think a couple of times a few seasons back it's taken over an hour to get to Earlsdon, What's that 4miles or something?

We now park a mile out for free and walk, saves a bunch and you get your steps in.

I usually used Finbars in the past, always been good and you walk past a decent chippy on the walk up which is a bonus.

With Finbars pay on gate has anyone ever been turned away because it's full? Used to be easy to book online but doesn't seem to be the same link anymore.

Whether you do or dont, its still a lot of faff just to avoid paying £10 for parking. Return the item, wait 5 days for the refund, email the parking company after the fine and argue your case that you bought something and maybe, if it backfires, risk a £100 fine or what ever it is.

Then theres my locality. Even if I dont have to return the item to coventry, my closest M&S is 30 mins drive away from my house. Next, is in Sheffield which is either £12 parking, or £7 return on the train, tesco I dont actually know where my closest tesco is in fairness. Either way, its a faff, for the sake of £10, which will help a local business/pub/club/sports team, maybe make some profit and stay open.

In fact, its such a good money saving hack, im gonna call Martin Lewis and see if he'll stick it in his money saving show. Im sure he'll agree just how good a plan it all is

I'm travelling up for the Villa game next week.

1. The official car park is £20 - and that feels steep. Are there cheaper/bookable options within walking distance?

2. I'd rather not get trapped in after the game. Do both Car Park A&C get held back when the A444 is closed post-match?
