He was Kasey 'Almost' Palmer on Saturday. That was almost a great pass. That was almost a great goal. That was almost a good corner. He almost lasted 90 minutes. Had a lot of freedom on Saturday and a lot of the ball, in reality created very little for our strikers. One over-hit throughball to Simms in the first half and a couple of chances he created for himself that he blazed over. Perhaps not a number 10 but Ayari's weight of pass looked far superior in his cameo.

He's always Kasey 'Almost' Palmer. So much of our build up play breaks down around him. He would be a much better player if he played the simple ball well more often.

No. Without Palmer we huff and puff and do not much. First half yesterday he absolutely bossed the game. The fact some people still can’t admit that really shows them up TBH.

I gather he also has the best goalkeeping stats

Frankly I’m amazed he’s never played in the premier league or been an automatic first choice in a top championship club

So, I saw an article on here which suggests this link is wide of the mark.

City transfer 'interest' in Kasey Palmer wide of the mark

Norwich City are not interested in Coventry City's Championship attacker Kasey Palmer.

Some people need to learn that it isn't easy to replace quality. With Vik and Gus quite a few were saying sell them for 15 or 20m and get 3 or 4 players in instead to cover the loss.
That isn't working out too well is it?
Let's keep quality in the squad if we can.

Nobody is saying he's Premier League level.

Why does everything have to be so black or white with you?

Someone either has to be amazing (like Todd Kane) or not good enough (like Palmer, or even Hamer).

He did play in the PL (4 games) in his second loan spell with Huddersfield

Saw someone on Twitter say they’d ‘reluctantly’ accept £10m

Have you noticed how many games we have looked and been impressive and won without Callum O'Hare?

Doesn't mean we don't want him back fit and available though does it?

There are plenty of posters on here who come out with nonsense about others ‘hating’ players at the slightest sign of criticism - it’s bizarre.

I think you're both right - I guess the key is balanced criticism which is sometimes missing.

The club don’t need or want to sell him so I reckon they would say at least 5m.

Yeah, that's my main issue with him. He clearly has the ability, he clearly isn't lazy, but he does go AWOL in games or become a bit of a passenger. I don't think we're good enough to carry him in a free role, and don't think he's good enough to carry such a role off anyway. It often seems Emperor's new clothes so, if an offer for a half decent price came in, I'd be saying thanks and bye myself.

And on the almost theme, he's almost so close to being the player he almost could be. You can see why managers take a chance on him as whoever does fully unlock him, if they can, will have a top top player.

If they can.

He's produced in small doses and not often enough, really wouldn't be bothered if he left.

Not an easy thing to convince the management team when he is second fiddle to a fully fit Jamie Allen

I think KP does a decent job in the middle for us. He may not be the flash fans favourite but he puts a shift in and gives his all . I wouldn’t sell KP and I also don’t think there’s any meat on this rumour. He’s going nowhere

The Palmer has loads of natural ability is over estimated for me.

Not saying he has no ability, but does he display stand out technique when shooting and striking a ball, not for me.

Does he have great technique and accuracy when passing a ball, not for me.
