Everyone has a different opinion on the wasps move but I think it would be great if us city fans came together and attended a game at the buts to show support for our local side, I know a lot of there games clash with city matches but sure there will be a free saturday in in the calendar at some point maybe someone involved with the skyblue trust can get this arranged?

As long as it doesn't collide with a Coventry City game, I'm all for it.

Remember chavs in hoodies aren't very welcome in rugby circles

Sounds like a good worthwhile idea, be good to get the majority on board.

the last thing the rugby club need is some little chav giving it the billy big boll*cks at the game. If this happens all the little chav should possibly stop at home and have a wash

Seems while Butts is the hot topic, people decided to pull stereotypes out of theirs.

Having looked at the fixture lists for both clubs, I don't think it will be possible to find a date when there is no clash with a City game, unless we get knocked out of the FA Cup in Round 1 or one of our games gets moved from a Saturday for TV coverage. The alternative is maybe to choose a game when CCFC are away from home and Cov RFC are at the Butts.

I can raise this with the Sky Blue Trust on Monday at the AGM.

Most of the lot on here will need bloody directions let alone a rule book. Funny how all of a sudden people give a shit about CRFC, its almost as of wasps moving up is turning into a good idea!

It's very similar to the way we currently play our code - the ball has to be passed backwards.

Could be a good day out. Will you all be similarly flocking to support the Ladies in their next home match at Ricoh on Sun 26th v Blackburn?

Hi,

first post. I read the forum quite a bit but don't go to games, as I watch Rugby on a Saturday.
I watch one of the junior teams listed below.

Copsewood
Dunlop
Standard
Cov Welsh
Cov Saracens
Coventrians
Old Coventrians
Stoke Old Boys
Old Wheatleyans
Pinley
Barker Butts
Broadstreet
Keresley
Trinity Guild
Coventry RFC
Cov University

Hopefully not missed anyone.

Coventry has always had a really strong grass roots Rugby playing community. It's great, go watch a match
on Saturdays, it's free, you get to know your team on a personal level. Have a drink while walking up and
down the touchline depending where the action is on the pitch.

Unfortunately as a city we have been so incompetent that we are deemed part of Worcesters catchment area for
youth development. Think for a minute, how very very wrong that is! If a young lad in Cov, is a good player he has to
go and pay for Worcesters acadamy side. When Wasps come then they will in due course (2016) be get Coventry
as their catchment area. I can't prove this but seems it will happen. We heard rumours about Wasps coming at our club three weeks ago!

With the Wasps coming I really fail to see how it can badly impact Coventry rugby. Everyone plays on a Saturday
and Wasps on a Sunday, there is no conflict in terms of taking supporters from the local game.

I will be happy to go and watch Wasps play on a Sunday as I am pretty sure many people associated with local rugby
will. I have no moral issues with this. Bad luck for Wasps fans down south but we are where we are. I may come
across as very callous, sorry about that, just speaking honestly.

To me the biggest issue is for CCFC. Under FFP rules, you can spend in accordance with your revenue and with
CCFC having failed to acquire the Ricoh, they seem to have hamstrung themselves in this respect. I have no
answers to this or any other issue really, I'm just one man, having a drink

Some of us go down there regularly anyway, we don't need a protest to support our local teams just a desire to help them !

Not sure. He called Season Ticket Holders "worms". He's excited about going to see Wasps as well. Just a bit of a twat I think.

Do be fair to Rupert its dadgad who believed all CCFC fans were worms and has in the whole of his posting history never commented on a single game

Just fed up of dragging this out. Everybody is banging their chests when in reality nothing has changed.
It's done and now we have to make the best of it and concentrate on getting a buy in to CCFC by Sisu.

Nothing will change what has happened and to be honest CovRFC and Wasps are not really protesting.

I've bought my season ticket, will turn up as if it's our ground and won't bother about the rugger.
Move on.
