Think o’hare played himself into the starting line up last night, Zain’s run of starts has come to an end for now I guess

Mason injuried last night so could easily slot McCallum in ...

Hopefully a decent performance from max with a few goals in the u23’s today can earn him a place on the bench as Baka is going backwards and shouldn’t be near the match day squad on this seasons form

O'Hare for Westbrooke, and and someone to sub for Hiwula to be on the bench, so Bapaga for Eccles. Otherwise as per the suggestion above

This 100% won't happen as Robins has decided on his system, but based on what I have seen this season I would love to see us play a variant on 5-3-2

Marosi
Dabo, Rose, McFadzean, Hyam, Mason
Kelly
Allen (if fit), Shipley
O'Hare
Godden

I think when O'Hare is up to speed, we could really benefit from him playing off of Godden. Last night he showed glimpses of being able to play the slide rule passes that Godden would feed off.

However, with the transfer activity this summer, I think the side will pick itself and I would expect the same side as ccfchoi87 has posted, but with O'Hare in for Westbrooke

2-1 City. Oxford to get one back around 80th minute and we’ll be shitting our pants.

I would pick O’Hare to start based on his two performances so far. Bakayoko was disappointing last night but that was perhaps no surprise. The really disappointing performance from the Watford game was that of Kastaneer. He seemed lost at times, miscontrolling the ball, giving it away as well as contributing to their second goal. Certainly hasn’t played himself into the starting line up based on last night.

This I would go with but have Hyam starting instead of McFadzean.

Another game I expect we'll control for large parts but be a bit nervy winning because we don't take enough chances. (I could just change that to my signature because it seems to be relevant to pretty much every game)

If we could crock/blunt Woodburn and nullify Mackie, I think we'll win. I'd take a draw now, but obviously want the 3 points.

What has Shipley done so much better than Westbrooke to not be dropped instead

He just seems more involved and energetic in getting around. Plus I feel he's more likely to pop up with a goal. If Westbrooke is dropped it'll be for a more attacking option of either O'Hare or Allen so that'd be more useful than Westbrooke's contribution IMO.

Of course if O'Hare and Allen are available chances are both will be dropped.

I think he will give you more consistent performances than Westbrooke at the moment, and his work rate alongside Kelly allows more scope/cover for O'Hare's attacking tendencies. My judgement is slightly coloured by having seen more of Jordan's performances than Zain's.

This season yes, because Bayliss has only played in the league cup hasn’t he?

Fact.

I think it’s basically just how well each team has done considering strength of opposition. By the end of the season it should match the league table. I might be wrong but that’s what it looks like to me.

This explains Elo, which was the precursor to this rating system. It solves some of the problems Elo has.

It uses almost the same ideas but a different way to calculate stuff.

There's an awful lot going on in the background.

It's like a TV. You don't need to know the inner workings of a TV to watch Eastenders.

Was my previous post a general summation of it or am I completely off, I can’t watch a video right now.

Yes, its an approximation of playing strength based off the results of other playing strengths. These can form a table which should be somewhere around the league table..

The more games played the more accurate it gets. The same argument can be made for the league table though.

The more games played in the league table the more accurate the table will become with players moving up and down when they play everyone with varying points or league position.
