Looks like the club fucked up and put the opening bracket for Oxford tickets too low..... some of the regulars with 2k+ points didn't get tickets as all sold out by 1015am (none were showing up online after this time).
I'm sure the club have comms'd out before that the opening bracket would be fine to get tickets

Got mine but was surprised I was in the ‘top bracket’ with 1600 considering the lower allocation.

Seem like they fucked up.

Been refreshing since 12.00 in the faint hope that some baskets will empty, but no joy so far.

I'm on fifteen fucking ninety fucking points too!

Is anyone really on 2K points at the moment? I was on 2.2K but then lost over 400 at the start of this season.

Would have thought so I’m on 1900 and missed about 10 matches or so in the last 3 years some of those were 20 pts. So I guess the maximum at the start of the season would be around 2050-2100

Absolute madness then starting the window 1600 pts. Just seen on Twitter people on 2K points not getting a ticket for Oxford.

I thought it was too low. We got ours at 10:10. Reckon it should have started at 1800.

Derby went to day two didn't it?
Maybe that had an effect on the decision making.

Not really, no rush when a 3K allocation. However, 1.4K and everyone is getting in early.

Snooze you lose as they say, i think most people realised it was going to sell out in the first block 10am... So you needed to get on early

I think the 1600+ was a bit low mind you !!

And i have seen people say that Supporter Clubs got tickets which is fair enough quantity not known and you only needed 1300 pts from 1 particular supporter club to claim a ticket.

Can anybody confirm or deny the above?...

Is there any point in having a points system when people with the most amount of points still get pissed off?
If setting it at even 1800 to start with is apparently too low then the club can’t win surely? Can’t keep moving the goalposts just to suit a select few.
maybe they should do what Middlesbrough do and say how many are in each bracket. At least then everyone knows.

A lot of clubs honour the top tier points holders but also save a percentage for gneral sale to allow more people a chance of going. This is QPR for the game against us.

IMPORTANT TICKETING INFORMATION: Following consultation with our Supporters’ Consultation Committee, the following method is now adopted for away ticket sales:

  • 20% of each away ticket allocation held back to be sold on general sale
  • Loyalty Point windows still used for away ticket sales prior to general sale period
  • General sale tickets become available when the Loyalty Points window closes or the first 80% of tickets sell out
  • Supporters registered on the away tickets scheme not affected by the above and have their away tickets processed as normal
TICKETS: Subject to availability, tickets will go on sale (one ticket per Client Reference Number) based on Loyalty Points as follows:

  • 11am, Wednesday 13th August: 1,500 Loyalty Points
  • 1pm, Wednesday 13th August: 1,000 Loyalty Points
  • 3pm, Wednesday 13th August: 500 Loyalty Points
  • 5pm, Wednesday 13th August: Priority general sale (1 ticket per person)
FULL ALLOCATION 2,815 TICKETS PRICED: £32 Adults, £27 Seniors 65+, £27 Young Adults 18-21, £22 Under 18s.

Why do we need to hold tickets back for general sale when the majority of games make general sale anyway?

65%+ of our away games go to general sale so saying "to give more people a chance of going" - they've already got a massive change of going to away games.

there's people out there who want to go to Leicester & Brum only this season and think they should be in with a chance of getting a ticket where others (not talking about the supporters with 2k+ pts) go to, say, half of our away games, pick and choose around family and work to try and get to go to these types of games. That isn't fair imo.

I'm not saying it should be for the higher points only but you can't open it up to GS so someone fancies a day out and does the odd away game.

Same with the Supporter clubs, dropping down 4 windows probably isn't the right way either - they need a benefit from being in the supporters club but 4 windows is 400pts (a whole seasons away and cup points gained from a £20 membership fee) - 2 windows seems to be fairer.

Everyone has their own views so we'll never get to the happy medium but I do believe that something will change on the clubs approach to it if we continue as we are as a club on the up and greater demand for away tickets (limited games go to GS that are on Saturdays as an example)

It pretty much runs our life now that I have to plan and book around it and get organised with points. Much better when we were crap and could sometimes decide on the day if I fancied it.

Sure I read that the supporters clubs were required to have the relevant number of season tickets with the required number of points and that tickets had to be used by that season ticket holder. Might have been from one of the supporters groups meetings minutes.

Not sure what happens if clubs are found to not be following the rules.

Soon it’ll just be the same faces over and over again at the smaller allocations. This must be avoided. Glad they “fucked it up”, even though I don’t think they did at all.

Just means that they provide a list of qualifying names, they get the points, but others can have the tickets

I don't think there should be away tickets reserved for GS but I'm not against widening the points windows. Starting it at 1600 is a good level (not only because that's how many I have ) then say 1200 and so on.

1600 points would equal a considerable amount of away games.

I don't think anybody should be guaranteed an away ticket. Someone on 1650 (for arguments sake so I'm not doing for my personal gain) should have a chance at any away day.

I'm on just over 1700, got a ticket today.
No way Ishould have got one ahead of someone on 2000 plus.
Do I feel that strongly about it that I will sell one of them my ticket, no, they can fuck off, but my point still stands.

the club have told the clubs that supporters must have enough points to get a ticket in the 4th window
