Haji started last season poorly. Must admit that even though I was hopeful he'd come good, I was worried. His highlights reel when the transfer was going through wasn't particularly impressive to me either. I was just excited at spending big!
I now think he's a class above. Can't see him being here next Sept unless we go up. He was great tonight. I can't split the MoM between him and MVE.

First half he was insanely good

Could argue not many deserved below a 7 . That was sublime to watch at times , some of the attacking play was stunning .

Yeah, I think pretty much everyone was a 7. Torp did some excellent stuff.

Maybe Simms with a 6.5, but otherwise, everyone else, a 7 or higher.

MVE was superb..

Torp defensively isn't great but going forward he was so progressive and quick with his passing

Appeared hesitant to me and conceded possession a number of times. Not going to argue anyway, I’ve no axe to grind with you.

Certain players I would probably be giving a 7 if their second halves matched their first, for context.

We were fantastic tonight, and even with minutes to go at 2-2 I didn’t feel disappointed with the result, the performance was excellent.

Dovin 7
MVE 9.5
Bidwell 6
Binks 7
Lati 6
Eccles 6
Torp 7
Rudoni 8
Simms 6
Saka 7
Wright 8.5

Would have liked to have seen JDS sooner, we had vast majority of the ball and we are weaker down the left than the right, so naturally the play progresses to the right of the pitch - second half they closed the space on the right down and it stumped us slightly.

Mve was ridiculous
Upper body strength
Finish
Cross
Pace
Complete performance - ridiculously good
Was he sky mom
Saka back to his best
Wright had a really poor 15 mins where he kept trying stupid flicks but he has rocket pace
Although simms had scraps thought his harrying second half was some of his most Harrisome harrying I’ve ever seen him do
Eccles and torp defensively too slow some of their passing was sublime though
Rudoni is wonderful
Mason Clark is a beast

How can a keeper that conceded 2 goals from 2 shots get a 7?

Easy, he looses 1.5 points per goal conceded

Would be very few keepers in the world who could do anything about either goal. Plus distribution was excellent. And the ball he palmed out low from the cross stopped a tap in goal from them. And I would be confident at least one of Wilson or Collins would have stood still on their line for it and conceded.

So yeah, 7.

Very dominant overall tonight, another day and we win that 5 or 6 nil.

Dovin 6
MVE 8.5
Bidwell 5 - off the ball tonight and has to take some blame for their 2nd
Binks 7.5 - a class act
Lati 7 - One of his better games overall)
Eccles 8 - thought he was excellent overall tonight
Torp 6 - Weak for their first
Rudoni 7 - faded in 2nd half
Simms 5 - See Torp
Saka 7 - see Rudoni
Wright 8 - took his goals well but was also clumsy on the ball at times. If that header had gone in too!

I have a theory that Eccles and Torp are so hard to tell apart that they often get blamed for things the other one did and it in turn makes their ratings a bit of a mess.

Thomas should be starting every game. And I’d be tempted to give Kitching a run in the team.

Not impossible, but the keeper really isn’t at fault for either of them. That said I don’t think he did anything to merit a 7 either.

Thought Binks was really good. Some good headers defensively and offensively. His long range shot was a stunner. Nothing got past him. His diagonals to Van Erwijk were sublime. Curious why some people rated him so low?

MVE and Wright played like men possessed tonight. Wright especially, a real nightmare for any defence when he plays like that.

Dovin 6 no fault for either goal
MVE 8.5 MOTM hope we can keep him
Lati 6.5 ok but I panic every time he has the ball at his feet
Binks 6.5 good diagonal passes but looked leggy at times
Bidwell 5.5 can't fault his effort but should produce more with space he had out wide
Eccles 5.5 caught in possession a few times not the same player with sheaf missing
Torp 5 not impressed
Rudoni 6 great first half much quieter second half looked tired
Saka 6.5 some lovely touches still not back to his pre injury levels
Wright 8.5 shade behind Milan ice cool for winner
Simms 6 just not his night

Subs all 5

Haji shown tonight why he’s got to play when he’s available. Unorthodox but a constant goal threat.

Because his positioning is awful, which is basic for a centre half. All these long balls are bollocks if he can't do the job in his job description.

Not when people have already made their minds up about either of them and are attributing every misplaced pass made by of them to just one of them!

Biggest liability defensively for me was Bidwell.

Lati while not setting any records was quite solid I thought, just wish he would pass forwards once in a while!

MVE the best individual performance I’ve seen from a player in a while. Insane to suggest anything less than 10.

I thought Wright was quite poor in the 2nd half but what do I know when he goes and delivers yet again.
