The points program is great, these kind of cup games I’d have skipped in the past. These games become must-not-miss games if you’re building up your points.

From a PR perspective Doug could do with appearing to be thinking of the future fans!

Should do more to help entice a few more imo. Those then spend more in the stadium. No brainer for me.

Totally agree - it's school holidays, lean into that. The shop sales will increase, F&B etc etc. Kids for £1 great shout for this, then make it £20 adults if need be to offset. We have just played them, enthusiasm will be low in cup comp that historically struggles for attendance in early rounds.

Is that a regulated price, or can we charge what we like assuming Oxford agree?

Surely we should be aiming for 15,000?

Would this be an opportunity to grow fan's in our city with some freebee offers among many ethnic group's and school's if that is the level of demand!
I mean don't know how many would be converted to mainstream?

If anything they should focus on the existing fanbase. Reward them. If the tickets are £10 the others will come.

If they're even aware, I'm thinking more as a cohesive vehicle as things have been been a bit strained lately, not in this city may I add, I'm just thinking they're kind of lost to us currently, you may be right about price point and the economics of it all?

They should make these games 30 or even 40/50 points.

I agree because it seems strange that in-demand games get 20 points. For example, WBA away is 20 points, the same as Blackburn Rovers away - both midweek.

At some point, I expect that they’ll start to weight loyalty points based on categories. Midweek cup games at home like this should be given big bonuses but linked to the ticket being scanned at the turnstiles to prevent ‘points fraud’. It’s easy to buy a ticket but actually showing up on a Tuesday night is another.

Yeah they deffo could do more.

Points for Away games

Around 18 months ago a mate really pissed me off by having a moan about the points system and that it's a closed shop etc .... he wasn't a STH at the time ! He got a ST last year and again this year as well as doing some away games but missed out on a few and was still unhappy ! It annoyed me...
www.skybluestalk.co.uk

Great data from the other thread - e.g. Middlesborough away on New Years Day would've been worth only 10 points but we only sold half the tickets. Games like that should be given heavy bonuses.

Games like Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Cardiff away on NYD should be the highest by some distance. That's the real test of away 'loyalty'.

Are they closing the roads for this or is just for league games? Don’t know if I can be arsed getting home at 11 just for a boring cup game.

It's nothing to do with the demand. It's a set amount for every game.

Away games are 10 points then there is an additional 10 if it's midweek.

Exactly and other clubs weight their loyalty points according to demand. I work with a few Chelsea members and Tottenham at home bags you 1 loyalty point/caps because it’s a game everyone wants to go to.

Our points systems is good and suits our purposes for now. As our tickets get more and more in demand, it makes sense to categorise the priority points to incentivise certain (likely low attendance) games.

Realistically, should Wolves away in the cup be double the points of Sunderland away just before Xmas?

Not sure if they will but given its not on TV quite local it would be poor if they don't get over 1000!

It's on Sky Plus - every league cup game is throughout I think unless I've read that wrong.

Oxford brought 1868 for the league match, they’ll probably only bring 500 for this.
The prices are fine for Cov fans if you live in the City and can get there and back pretty easily …..not so sure that many will journey in from distance though. Be surprised if there is many over 10000 !
