Can't speak of tonight as wasn't there, last season home against Crewe joined POG line a 7.20 and
Got in stadium at 8.05 , although stadium is only a third full it is effectively a sellout.
Large sections of the ground are closed for business and completely unstaffed, IMO they need to
"Cut the crap" with all this condense the crowd for atmosphere BS and pay the staff to get enough
Of the stadium open to get people in.
Honest Question, did we have these problems with the North stand open.
If they were genuinely worried about atmosphere, they would try putting a team out there to create one.

I can only ever remembering it happening with night games? are more people rushing from work and getting there closer to kickoff as opposed to weekends?

It wouldn't be viable to open the whole ground, it would be stupid. Would be interesting to know the process of when they open new turnstyles though.

Would hope that scanning the season tickets / print at home will make things a bit easier too.

Why is that ?

Think they're known as Head In The Sand Merchants . keep quiet the problem will go away etc.

Had a read of the match thread yet Bob? You know, the football match tonight? You know, the football club you moan about all the time?

I'm not saying open the whole ground, the south stand is closed anyway, they should open
The north and concentrate on trying to increase crowds, that's what a progressive club
Would do , I would have thought.
TBH although I don't like to sit there myself, I find it somewhat ridiculous that no home fans
Can sit behind a goal.

Home fans should always be behind both goals first . then spread out accordingly , whilst shoving the away fans in the deepest darkest recess as possible.

Apparently fans who payed on the gate last night were only charged a tenner as opposed to the sixteen pound everyone else paid. Farce!

Don't have an issue with that, if they had been queuing due to CCFC's screw up then it could be seen as a gesture.

Well, after all of the fuss over 'poundgate'I walked up paid my £15 and got to see a decent game of football. Should I feel a sense of guilt over the £1 I saved?

Away fans should not be put in the deepest darkest recess as possible, because that is our fans every other week. Away fans pay their money and should be looked after.

Last year the concentration of our fans and then opening blocks on demand worked well. It helped with the atmosphere and was well documented by the club that it helped the players.

On here there were several posters who said having moved from behind the goal to the side of the pitch wouldn't move back. As they realised they got a better perspective of the game. Many old grounds had 'side ends, Birmingham, Burnley, Derby, Manchester City and very intimidating they could be too.

Agree. I think of bad facilities and other issues such as overcrowding at Burton away.

I don't know why there isn't a system whereby you sign up as a registered supporter or something like that, get a membership card and then when you buy a match ticket its just applied to that.

Can only guess the delay in the match packages is that they will sell pro rata options.

as eastwoods dustman - i also paid £15 on the gate (not £16) - so not sure where the £10 came from unless change became an issue

I also paid £15 on the gate. The lad in front of me paid £10 but he was a young adult.
I'll be using the cash stile on Saturday, no booking fee!!
