Looking at buying an outdoor heater.

Anyone got any recommendations? What is better gas or electric? Where best to buy from?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

A gas heater in the garden is just environmental vandalism ...... put a jumper on mate.

Put an empty metal dustbin in your garden, put some old fish and chip wrappings in said dustbin, place a plank leaning against dustbin, leave it overnight then on the morning you should have any rats near your house in the dustbin so poor in some thinners and set light to it, (two) problems solved.

With the French banning outdoor heaters could the UK follow suit?

The french government recently announced new measures to tackle global climate change. Included in those were a ban on electric and patio gas heated devices. Barbara Pompili the ecological minister went as far as to call them an “ "ecological aberration" according to a BBC news report. In France...

On a serious note it’s probably the opposite of in the house and a electric heater is more advantageous in terms of ease and cost. It gets the heat level very quickly as well. If you want to show off and impress your neighbours - get a fire pit. It looks the business.
