How likely is that Millwall will beat Burnley away? Likewise, Blackburn to beat Sheff U away? Not likely to be honest.

Boro need to beat us and a win v Boro all but guarantees a playoff finish unless Bristol win v PNE and Millwall beat Burnley by 5+ goals (e.g. 6-0, if we win by 1, 7-0 if we win by 2 and so on).

Sheffield United may rest players and psychologically are not going to be on a high. Blackburn could beat them. Can't see Millwall beating Burnley but they are a team in form.

If we do make the play offs, will Dasilva now miss the two semi final games with a three match ban or is it just next week he's out?

Psychologically, would Sheff U want to lose to Blackburn if they then have to play them twice in the following days?

Wilder has said he wants to go into the playoffs on a high for obvious reasons. Yes, they’re already qualified, but it’s not good if they go into the playoffs on a loss.

Either way, Boro was always a must-win game and unless some odd things happen, it guarantees a playoff spot.

There's a good chance we qualify for the play offs next weekend. But honestly, who cares when we have to play both legs with Collins in goal. I'd rather save my blood pressure for next season.

This has got to be the final straw for Collins. As flawed as Wilson is, I can’t recall him making such basic, unforced errors.

Collins, dare I say it, had a 8/10 game until the mistake that lead to the goal. Unfortunately, GK is a ruthless position where a 90% bang on performance isn’t good enough.

In the summer, we’ve got to sign a GK that we would be happy to be number 1 with the assumption that Dovin may not come back the same player.

Luton’s sub GK today was Krul, that’s the standard you need at the top end of the Championship.

It makes it a lot simpler; we have to win. So FL and the players will have no doubts of the task at hand and hopefully that’s motivation they can’t half arse it.

However, the fact we’re in such a high pressured situation considering the hard work over the first few months of the year is a joke.

That's it, an outstanding performance is null and void because you've thrown the ball into your own net, and we've lost 1-0.

Got Burnley away, if Leeds beat Bristol on Monday at home they go level on points with Burnley on 94, then it becomes a shoot out for the title so both will be going for it

More complex than that though, isn't it. Because you know the only result that guarantees you don't make it is a loss. So how do you set out? All out for a win, or more conservative? I hope we go at it same way as we did against West Brom.

I do think people have let Binks off the hook a bit. The ball was going slow enough he could’ve cleared it.

That doesn’t change that Collins left the goal open and almost definitely impeded Kitching from dealing with a relatively routine clearance.

Yeah, Millwall aren't winning at Burnley. If they do then they deserve a play off place.

They've gone the whole season with the best defence, think unbeaten at home and Millwall average no more then one goal in games, sounds set up for Millwall to win but I doubt that, Burnley ain't going to surrender their records and the chance for the title on the last day

Oh I don’t think they will but they’re one of only two sides to manage it at all this season so more of a chance than most.

Doesn't matter 89 mins.... He has been involved in the same mistakes multiple times and he cost us points every time he puts on a pair of shorts. The lad never learns, that is a massive problem.

Because he likely wouldn’t have had a worldy and would just have conceded some of the saves Collins made. Up until his mistake Collins was in some of the best form of his season.

Surely next weekend will go like this - we draw against Boro, Bristol lose 1-0 to Preston after losing 3-0 to Leeds, Blackburn win at Sheff Utd, Millwall lose at Burnley. We finish 6th on goals scored over Bristol, with same goal difference. Has to be.

Am I right in thinking that head-to-head comes into play after GD?

If so, we have an advantage over Millwall, Blackburn, Bristol and Boro (atm).

Really don't think it matters if we make the play offs, it's just delaying the inevitable, we cannot trust Collins to not do something incredibly stupid for one game let alone potentially the next 4.

Even if we make the play offs, it's likely to end in prolonged heartache again. Does anyone seriously see us beating Sheffield utd over two legs or in the final if it's not them in the semis?

Post-WBA, it did effectively mean we could lose both the away games as long as we beat Boro on the final day. That has been a must win game as soon as it was clear we’d be in playoff contention.

Besides, Boro had played 2 of the 3 teams with nothing left to play for and only got 1 point from it. They will see this as a bigger missed opportunity than us slipping up in 3 away games against clubs scrapping for survival.

I’m glad that we go into Boro with them needing a win. On the flip side, I’m also somewhat happy that we can’t rest on our laurels thinking a draw will be enough too.

The job is simple, win the game and there’s literally 99% we’ll be in the playoffs.

Did you think we’d beat Boro over two legs in 22/23? I didn’t and certainly not after we drew the home leg.

We’ve been better than Sunderland over the season since Lampard came in and we’ve beaten Bristol twice this season so I’d fancy any of them in the final or over two legs if it came to it.

Sheff U will be difficult but having the home leg first gives us a shot, if we make it.

To be fair I've lost interest - A team that has lost 17 games in the championship shouldn't really be considered worthy of a tilt at the Premier League under any circumstances.
Well done, Frank, for a magnificent and extended bounce but a woeful run in (injuries factored) has left me a bit 'meh'.
Already genuinely looking forward to next season - Me and my boy back in with ST's.
