Wake up!
We can't spend more than 60% of income because of FFP limits.
Even if Obramavic came in!

not that this is likley to happen but if we got new owners and they decided to sponsor the club for £100m a year does that not get you round FFP?

As long as it is an actual cash transaction and not just a paperwork loan, yes.

It sure does!

I believe that's what Man City have done.

What about stadium/stand naming rights, does that money go towards FFP?

Rumours were that sponsor could be SISU Capital to get round FFP

Why would a secretive hedge fund want to have its name plastered all over the team shirts?

report

Mancity Revenue for 2011-12 was over £200m so 60% would be £120m, So they don't need to "get round" FFP.
(I think we could operate within that!)

the rules may be different for Prem teams anyway.

Aaron Martin??? Are you serious? One of the worst defenders I've seen here in years.

Florent Laville, Michael Bischoff..although both would probably have been our best player last season, that's how low we've fallen! Martin was pretty awful though.

Those guys were bad. Martin was just invisible.

Martin moved like Breen, thought he was Beckenbauer, was actually a (very) poor man's...Leon Barnett. So many crafted 40-yard passes that were in actuality useless hoofs...and what was that shot from the half-way line all about?

Ah, football, it's good to talk about it again...even if it is some of the most terrible, stinky football you could ever pay to see.
