To be fair that's because they have purposely chosen not to play youth players because they then count as squad players and would mean they wouldn't be able to make any transfers, they'd rather name a bench of 2/3 players rather than a full one with academy kids. Where as we played Bigi, ruffels, Thomas, Willis, Henderson, Roberts, Christie, and had Burge on the bench last season - add them and it makes their squad page look a bit fuller. (plus Jeffers, Cameron and Clarke who had previously been around the squad)

Yup. Pompey don't use any of their kids, or at least they didn't last year, because if they do they are not allowed to make emergency loan signings.

Last season they would just put 3 or 4 on the bench rather than fill it with youth teamers so they could then go out and get loans in.

Think they're under an embargo now anyway so they wont be signing anyone this summer.
