The FA either appoint Carsley or Lampard after the World Cup - they seem determined not to go for Howe. Whichever they choose there’s a good chance the other becomes/stays as our head coach.

Carsley makes sense to me, he’s coach most of the first team and has a track record in international football. Spains manger cut his teeth in age group international football.

As for Lampard, if he keeps things up with us, a genuinely top end European team will come in for him. I don’t rate Kompany personally but begrudgingly have to accept he’s doing a good job over there atm.

How would it disrupt anything then?

Because he's always come across as an arehole and when there's an arsehole in the group, either as a leader or not, they cause disruption. Groups of good people are what we need. In my view anyway

I couldn’t care one bit if John Terry came in as a coach, and most of you shouldn’t care either. It is highly unlikely you will meet him or have a drink with him. All I want is for my team to be successful and if it means it is someone a few don’t like coming in, then maybe they should be managing the club and not Frank.
A few years ago, we would have been delighted if these sort of people were on our radar and wanting to come here, but now we are wanting to choose ones with a clean lifestyle “Theresa May” maybe? After all, she only ran through a corn field.. ffs come on, whatever it takes to make us a top team, trust in the decisions of the club.

Win at all costs? Not for me thanks. I hated it when we had Marlon King at the club. I think John Terry is a nasty piece of work and I'd rather we were less good without him than better with him.

I think it's the England job Lampard would be tempted by long term. If we were to be promoted I'm not sure other club jobs would seriously tempt him. He isn't doing for the money is he, and he has local Chairman here he has built a good relationship with, fans who love him and won't turn on him if there are few poor results, and he seems free to build the culture he wants with support and no interference from above. My only worry would be a stable prem club in London like Crystal Palace. He can't be happy spending so much time away from his children who are still young I think.

I think there is always scope to expand the coaching team with the right people. For example, it seems commonplace now for prem clubs to have specialist set piece coaches. If the prem money makes an appointment like that possible it can only be a good thing. But 100% it has to be the right person who will come in and add to the culture we have, not someone who will disrupt it

You might want to revisit that comment next year when we lose 5-0 to Bournemouth

No matter what you think of the man, John Terry will probably make a better defensive coach than Theresa May

At least Theresa May wouldn’t shag your missus.
