Worse case i can see Bristol winning 3 games... including us losing to them (just as a worse case)

Nottm Forest v Bristol City LOSE
Bristol City v Coventry WIN
Birmingham v Bristol City LOSE
Bristol City v West Ham draw
Bristol City v Barnsley WIN
Burnley v Bristol City WIN

10 points.

That is the max they will get i reckon.

So we need 3 wins minimum to be safe.

The logical wins being the three home games to Peterborough, Millwall and Doncaster. Millwall do have decent away form, and Doncaster perhaps down by the time we play them. All three being eminently winnable though

the offset of this is that beat peterboro and b city and we are safe - i know both games are winnable, but that would be 4 wins in a row, which is also unlikely

i can see a win v peterboro and a defeat v bristol - which would leave us more or less as we are going into the last 4

depends on if bristol do beat us, how much that would hit confidence and boost theirs

I know it states the bleeding obvious, but we could really do with ensuring we don't lose at Bristol. A win against Peterborough and a draw at Bristol - provided they lose at Forest - open up a 4 point gap in our favour; and keep our momentum too. Psychologically huge then taking into the 4 games thereafter

Totally agree.

We need Bristol being a must not lose scenario for us and a must win scenario for them.

They don't have a pretty run-in; Hull, Pompey, Leicester, us, Ipswich, Blackpool. Depending upon results, we could well overtake them if we beat them at our place, if not before

If we beat Peterboro and Bristol lose at Forest on Saturday then we will travel down to Bristol with a 4 point cushion . A draw would be good but a win would surely condemn Bistol

If we beat Peterborough,Forest and Bristol City is on sky @ 5.20 so it could work in our favour wonder if they will know our score before they take the pitch.
Also they havent beaten Forest home or away for years!!!

The good thing for us is that Bristol play Forest next week. Forest are 6 points ahead of Bristol, so this is a match Forest cannot lose. Defeat and the gap will be down to 3 points. Victory and they would be 9 points clear.

Forest will surely be up for this one. Think it might well be a draw, but both teams will be looking for the win and that has to be good news for the City as you would say the odds have to be with Forest, whose form of late has been vastly superior to that of Bristol's.

I just hope that AT doesn't get Manager of the Month for March! What a death sentence THAT would be!

Agree.... Forest will be pretty much safe by beating Bristol. So they will go all guns blazing.

Manager of the Month has to go to Watford or Reading surely?

On current form Reading are in first place, then Southampton, then Watford in 3rd.

We are down in 7th.

Can someone please post those stats to the decision makers please!!!

Pretty sure will go to Brian at Reading. Fantastic result against West Ham for them.

Agree, the win at bristol would open up a 7 point gap with 4 to go. With our goal difference they would have to win 3 of the last 4 to overhaul us, it could be a cracking easter weekend.

I have said all along win our home games and a draw at Bristol should do to it, however that was before yesterdays great result at Hull, so I reckon we just need to win our homes matches. So the pressure is still on, and when was the last time we won four on the bounce...

could well be the key. Saturdays result was huge, but lets not get carried away here. Still some more twists and turns, as the result at hull proved. On a side note the wife wasnt to impressed....what with her being a dull fan!!!

I had Bristols results as
Forest A LOSS
Cov H DRAW
Brum A LOSS
West Ham H LOSS
Barnsley H WIN
Burnley A DRAW

That is 42 points for them and I had us finishing on 46 points with 2 home wins and home draw and an away point at Bristol. Even if they beat us we would stay up on GD according to my predictions

Just over 400 tickets left for Bristol now. Reported on the official site. Shame we can't have some more!

Its usually the way, the few away games where we could bring thousands is always at a ground with a small away end!

I know it's obvious but........The most important thing before Forest vs Bristol is us concentrating on getting the 3 points against Peterborough. Lets concentrate on our job before worrying about the others.

Exactly. Not many people would have had us down to beat Hull 0-2, so trying to guess anybody elses results is more or less meaningless. Lets go out and win first and then Forest-Bristol will be a far more enjoyable experience.

Think you will find that is the job of the club, the manager and the players, not the fans and I'm pretty sure they are doing that. No way on god's earth will Andy Thorn be looking at what's going on in the lead up to the Forest-Bristol game.

We are fans on the other hand and that's what fans do. Fans will always look at rivals' results and fixtures and always will.

The team and manager will be focused ... trust me.

I understand your point. It is very exciting (more so now after the great win on Saturday), but I am not sure my heart can take much more. So give me mid table mediocrity

Sadly you are right. But relegation fights are part and parcel of the Sky Blues. One former chairman likened being in mid table as being on holiday in the Bahamas. That said I would much rather be safe from relegation by now than have the worry right to the wire. More like terrifying than exciting!
