Turned up for the meeting with Acl, but no one fron the council bothered.

Now, she's willing to meet MEP, again leader of the council refuses?

Maybe Ann's busy dating Marlon King, probably loves going for a cruise in his flash car

Its not rocket science to see that this is because of the JR !!!
Maybe once that's out of the way they can get together ?
Nick if someone was persistantly trying to sue you, would you be happy to have meetings with them and do business ?

Typical thread on this board at moment. A little or no information and everybody takes there ACL or SISU side. I think we all agree they need to talk but things have been in the way. Currently it's the JR so lets all work on getting that out the way.

So, its a bit like accusing Lucas of putting conditions on the meeting, can't do it unless the JR is dropped.

Not much different to, sign the CVA then we'll talk.

That was quashed weeks ago. The current stand-off, indeed all the stand-off has ever been about, is getting the Ricoh from ACL for as little as possible and the way of achieving this, in SISU's eyes, is by taking a source of income away in the hope they go bust. Unless ACL gift away the ground then we are not going back.

I thought they had done so at the ownership meeting a few weeks ago where Joy was alleged to have made her CCFC not coming back to the Ricoh unless I get the thing for my price which is non negotiable threat/promise.

On the money....that's all these clowns have had as a central objective. They are rancid and devoid of ethics. Yet still some cannot see it, citing acl as agressors.

SISU out.

But she doesn't need to mention the JR! She's a politician! How many times have you seen them avoid a question because they don't want to or can't answer it. Lucas should have at least come on and said I can say this and that but can't say anything on this certain subject because of the JR. Refusing to go on the radio even to say "sorry, can't say anything" makes her look shit.

They did, didn't they? Isn't this when board members of ACL - Reeve - said they didn't have the power to make any decisions! FFS...

Do I support SISU for destroying my club, absolutely not. Do I support ACL/CCC for helping to destroy my club, absolutely not. Do I think it would solve anything with Joy and Anne meeting, absolutely not. IMHO even if ACL offered the ground rent free with say 50% match day revenue (50% because they have already sold out on the compass contract) Joy would not accept.

This is purely about ownership of the Ricoh and why the hell should ACL sell to SISU???? I hope the freehold of the ground always remains with ACL however I do expect that with decent owners and once the compass contract expires, that CCFC will have access to all matchday revenues and a tiered rent system dependant upon league however again I expect the rent to be relatively low unless in the Premier League.

If that actually happened at least they were honest about it !!!
I do remember fisher doing the opposite though agreeing to a a new rent deal, shaking hands only for it to be renaged on probably by Joys authority !!!!!

Coventry City Football Club's response states: "Joy Seppala would of course be delighted to meet with Ann Lucas.
"Indeed, Joy and the directors of the football club were disappointed that neither Ann nor her deputy (Coun Phil Townshend) attended the important meeting with her last week- and instead left it to directors of ACL who admitted that they did not have the authority to take some of the key decisions needed to bring about a resolution.

I believe that was in relation to doing a deal on ownership though, they had the right to negotiate a new rental agreement I think

“The meeting began with Chris West making an offer of £400,000 rent with no access to the key revenues – the same offer that was on the table when ACL broke off negotiations with the club in February.

“That offer was put forward despite a previous meeting at the Council House on June 3, with Council Deputy Leader Phil Townshend, Martin Reeves and Chris West at which Councillor Townshend said he was ready to discuss the sale of the freehold to the club.

"Mr West then acknowledged that a deal of this kind might now be possible, but said that he did not have the authority to negotiate such a transaction.”

Once again:

Here's a link to a picture of Ann Lucas with an invitation to Joy Seppala to come and talk to her and the possibility of the council selling the stadium http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/new...-lucas-5677830

For the avoidance of doubt, that's an invitation and a picture - can anyone post a link to a picture of Joy with her reply?

Well no, ACL directors wouldn't be able to sell the freehold that they don't own.

That's about it I'd imagine. Anything else to do with the Ricoh is ACL business not CCC business so not sure why Lucas or anyone from CCC would need to be present.

This is the problem though isn't it? Every statement from the club has weasel phrases like "some of the key decisions needed to bring about a resolution."

What resolution? What decisions?

Every quote from Fisher/CCFC has included such phrases that can literally mean anything. In the Trust Q&A when asked if about what the club wanted it was frilly phrases like "to be sustainable".

The only side to put hard figures forward have been ACL.

I imagine dealing with Sisu is like trying to keep my wife happy: she's upset an she doesn't know why and she doesn't know what will help but its your job to fix it.

ACL don't own the freehold, though one of the shareholders (the council) do.
