Some good reviews also like the one where he says that they should film from the other side so you can see how full the East stand is.

Remember when we were on the way down before Robins came back and everyone commented how the Ricoh was a morgue.
How things have changed .

Goes to show all the shouts to try and move our vocal support to the North Stand are from clueless Block-20-somethings. The proximity to the away fans is essential for any atmosphere whatsoever.

Some great comments on our atmosphere there. Can’t wait to renew in Block 17.

CBS is miles louder than HR, that doesn’t mean HR was quite actually in the West End it could be noisy a lot of the time plenty of singing and chanting but if you were outside the W.E. say the Kop end the noise didn’t travel very good and away fans could be heard all over the ground.

It helps that it’s at least 2/3s full now, also that we’re not a club in decline. It was desperate from when we lost to Norwich under boothroyd until we returned in the championship (barring the odd game against Gillingham and the Preston checkatrade game)

True
Couple of great atmospheres at St. Andrews in the league 1 title winning season Rotherham and Sunderland spring to mind

Ticket sales for Saturday are going fairly well.

You have to assume that in the event of us making the play-offs, the home leg would sell out.

The question is, how many would we be able to sell? Would the SAG still insist on keeping blocks 11, 12 and 13 closed?

They'd probably close more blocks, just to be on the safe side.

The test will be if anything is on for the Birmingham game. Imagine if they turned fans away because they wanted 3 blocks of segregation each side.

TBF m8, those negative comments are just from people fed up of hearing you shout 'where's your famous GSE' every fooking week.

Ultimately It would be the club’s decision to make, SAG is an advisory group with no real authority.

Every week on MOTD we watch the likes of Leeds v Man Utd, West Ham v Chelsea, Everton v Liverpool etc etc in completely sold out stadiums with a line of steward’s separating rival fans.

It’s easy for the club at present to follow the advice and leave entire blocks empty, mainly because there are no customers for those empty seats anyway.
If the situation changed and suddenly those seats were in high demand, I’m sure the clubs attitude & willingness to follow SAG advice would soon change with it.

Found that a fantastic read. For years I knew that it wasn’t the new stadium to blame for it being a bit soulless . In the last few years the younger generations have really embraced the club, it’s become trendy again to be a Cov fan . Robins and his team have lit the place up and United supporters behind them.
The drummer and the guys getting new songs going about individual players have instigated a lot of this……not since the Cup run of 1987 has there been so much affection towards players and from players.

When we went back to the Ricoh after Northampton, against Gillingham, I remember thinking wow I don't remember an atmosphere like this. Granted it was 27k but 8 years later that kind of atmosphere feels the Norm. We've come so far.
