I'm only 16 but I've supported City since the day I was born, I also support rangers.. not the best two teams to support in terms of financial situations I know, but I don't know why majority of cov fans are constantly moaning about our financial situation, I agree sisu should get out and that they don't have the communication skills we hoped they would but never the less they have managed to sort the transfer embargo out after a long wait , we have got new backroom staff aboard, yess andy Thorn wanted this bang bang bang but did we really expect that to happen? I didn't and yes we lost out on some targets but I have faith in Thorn and what he is trying to achieve it will take time , I don't know how long it will but he has my full backing, It's looking up, I do believe he will get some New players probably not what we dream of but some decent never the less, yet some of us seem to think were not going anywhere except league two.. I'm sorry I don't think that. I understand that our financial situation isn't great but at the moment It's stable enough to get some Transfers , imo if we get players of decent quality and are top 8 at Christmas and look still to be climbing I reckon these Chinese buyers might actually invest in the club regardless of if we own the stadium. Let's get behind the club and show everyone the passion we shown last season and look
to the new season a head and give thorn all our support, I won't be watching many games as I work at the out the back of the ricoh but I will be traveling away and will alway support my club, City Till I Die. PUSB

Do tell how many of your mates support cov.

On the whole, we have lost a generation of supporters

Why not? Born in Glasgow = Gers, grew up Warwicks = Sky Blues. What is a 'real' supporter anyway?

You can't support two teams, it's against the law I'm originally from the Cov area thus supporting Cov, I've lived in Norfolk for the past 10 years, Norwich can piss right off though !!

Cov Till I Die !

Very good post for a sixteen year old and I agree no way we can go bang bang bang we need to leave funds for August incase we get injuries. I would not worry though we will not sign anyone anyway

I was born and raised in N.Ireland so was brought up supporting Rangers but when my mother re-married someone who supported Cov, I started supporting them. I was about 5 or 6 at the time and have been supporting Cov for about 26 years now but still have Rangers as a second team. Or 'did' have Rangers as a second team.

Nothing wrong with having a second team, especially if the two aren't even in the same country and you have a valid reason for supporting them.

P.S Fuck Celtic.

Coventry and Rangers for me, Loyal till I die.
It's only wrong to follow two Clubs if one of them is Celtic.

Remember the seventies, in the west end?

Chants from half the ground " Celtic"
Echoed by the other half "Rangers"

Those were the days!

Ps- we have large Irish and Scottish communities, that brought their love of football with them, and this helped grow our fanbase.....so no one should tell them, or their families, that they can't follow two teams, IMO

Skybluebaker, nice to read a bit of idealism & optimism on these mostly cynical pages. Hang onto your dreams kid.
Was going to say City Reserves would be my second team, but...
Like you I'm hopeful. When I was 16 Jimmy Hill was just about to guide City into the First Division (Premier League). Bobby Gould was better than De Stefano and Glazier was better than Yashin. I loved it. Jimmy Hill was God. England had just won the World Cup and I'd seen two games at Hillsborough and Villa with my dad, involving Germany, Spain, Switzerland & Argentina. Seeing all those flags was something, English fans didn't do flags then. Bring on Dagenham. PUSB.

I support cov as my first team, and Celtic as my second. With Stuttgart as my third (lived there for 3 yrs). Wud support cov over the other 2 in a match and surely that's wat matters!

Feck the Rangers, enjoy 3rd tier Scottish football, hahahaha!

You lost some credibility when you wrote that, sonny.

Do you also 'support' Spain, Barcelona, and the Harlem Globetrotters?

CCFC Holdings spent £12 million on administrative expenses in 2011 to give a loss of £9 million for last year compared to a near break even figure in 2010. Lots of questions to ask.

I've yet to delve further into what is covered by that, but it caused losses to surge from £100k to £9 million.

I'm sorry to say that if they really are leaving the squad high and dry while clearing everything out the back door then its time for the fans to make a stance and boycott this fiasco.

I could never be bitter of people I feel sorry for. Yeah Rangers might be in the shite but at least they're clever enough to work out where they come from.
