3 more signings from Preston yestetday

Here is their comments

North End boss Westley told the club website: "It is vital we have pace, balance, width and good technical quality in our squad next season. We have been working carefully towards getting our first-choice targets in all areas and we are very happy with the progress we have made so far.

hmm

21 out and 11 in so far for Preston. Hard to see which way that should go.

If only we had 21 players to release :thinking about:

Well, since 2011, we have lost

O'Hallorhan
Clingan
Carsley
Michael Doyle
Issac Osbourne
Marlon King
Freddie Eastwood
Lukas Juke
Aaron Gunnarson
Ben Turner
Michael McIndoe
Clive Platt
Germain Grandison
Michael Quirke
Herman

all from a small squad in the 1st place

you can add the possibkle

Bigi
Craine
Keogh
McPake
ROD

So, thats 21 out, and 3 in, of which 2 have been GK's

Don't think Portsmouth own their ground.

One of their past owners owns their ground.

They are at least 2 years behind where we are. They are stuck with vastly overpaid players they can't get rid of. In and out of admin.

If you want to see what would happen to our club if SISU pulled out and we had nobody to take over look at Pompey. As soon as each new owner finds out how bad things really are they bail out. If not they find out they can't afford to carry on. They have single players that are on as much as about our whole squad now. They are under contract and know they won't get anywhere near the same elsewhere, so they want to stay. They have not even been able to afford admin so far. It is only the Sky money they get that has stopped them going into liquidation. This will not last forever.

Some keep going on about us being liquidated. It will happen to Pompey well before us. Yes we are running at a loss. Most football teams are. They must still be losing at least 1m a month. Now they are in Div3 just like us. You think it is a bad time to be a Cov supporter? Try being a Pompey supporter. I can't see a way out for them. At least we have our costs under control a lot more. They are dropping fast and who knows where it will end.

Seen some ludicrod relegation dogfight predictions - fully expect us to be in top 12, if we can keep a few and surpirse us then we should definitely be play offs at least.

Competition this is how I see it.
Doncaster - May lose their disruptive loan signings but not their core squad could surprise a few
Pompey - Depending on how many they keep.
Sheffield United - Will be a lot weaker but well supported so still expect them to be up there.
Swindon - The DiCanio factor may play a part in them doing well
Bournemouth - Have investment think they will be dark horses

Crawley - The have a winning mentality
Stevenage - will be there or there about
Preston - Stronger than last year and already made several very shrewed signings
Notts Country - Decent team for this level
MK Dons - Improved backroom staff and will be top 10 as an absolute min

Aside from the competition, we dont have any sort of winning mentaliyat the club and I just cant see it happening when we are losing all of the expoerienced players.

A couple of early defeats will knock the stuffing out of the kids who will "need to learn quickly"

top of teh "nd half of the league will be a result at the moment

Preston will ofc get the best Stevenage players, the wanker Westley will do the same as he did with Farnborough.

I fucking hate him.

Losing some of the experienced players may be a blessing in disguise (Keogh & maybe Cranie aside - who have not yet gone).

A couple of decent signings once out the embargo and we will be in and around the playoffs.
