Despite our current form most would consider the 4 additions to midfield to be top 6 quality.
Jennings - experienced and highly thought of at Motherwell.
Fleck although injured showed signs of quality in pre-season to reignite a once promising career
Barton looks a very able player
Kilbane a very experienced player who should show leadership on the pitch to our young side.
But will that midfield work collectively. AT build this team for his legendary diamond formatio But we lack pace especially when we play Kilbane wide left, doesn't work he is just too slow.

A new manager will be appointed and I think this will be his most important task.

But if Kilbane is invaluable for his experience do we drop Jennings to allow Killer to be the holding midfielder or do we play both in a 4231 formation.

killer as wide left or left of the diamond is awful and as waste of a position.
