Support your team

arguing on here and going crazy isn’t gonna help

yes we are shite atm, yes system isn’t working, yes robins has and unbalanced squad, yes we have signed duds

we are not in a relegation battle yet a couple of wins and we are back in it but we are gonna have to be content with mid table and average

January there will have to be a shake up

Is it OTT to be pissed off? We weren't even average in the last 2 games, we were awful.

I will be supporting the team after a hefty increase in Season Ticket price, I might add. How long should it be ignored that the football is dire?

This is not bedwetting it's a statement of fact. We have been terrible in many ways and there's little sign of improvement. Hopefully COH provides a spark to be optimistic about

We're shit lets be honest

How have we spent 20 million to look like Relegation fodder?

Just abysmal, We dont have an identity its wierd

Are we pressing? No
Do we play on the counter? No
Do we keep possession and play the incisive pass like Man City? No
Do we play long ball? No

What are we?

Just all looks a mess

The problem was and is expectation management.

Too many fans expected Cov to challenge for promotion. Not enough people had a good look at the Championship and realised there are a dozen teams with a claim to be promotion candidate.

Btw the last time we sold our top scorer and most effective midfield players - and didnt replace them - City were relegated from the top flight.

I don't think it's OTT to be pissed off at that performance. When the criticism is silly or unwarranted fair enough, but so much about last night was completely wrong / bad it's normal to question.

The football is bad, it's so-far ineffective and I believe Rotherham would have been genuinely more exciting to watch for a neutral I think.

I could defend the Bristol performance to a degree based on a good first half. Can't really defend last night's.

DaSilva was awful and I think he's often been good.

MVE doesn't run at his man when he's meant to be fast.

McFadz is now looking his age.

Sheaf didn't have his best game last night but as per usual he's been chucked straight back in due to a lack of other options.

Unsure if Godden even played.

Simms was okay in some of the build-up play but nothing good about his finishing.

Wright looks like he only wants to be on the end of an inch perfect pass and score tap-ins.

Ayari looks every bit the under-21 the recruitment team would/should have known he was.

I think Eccles did okay last night, but some reason we're trying to force him to do things that is not his game.

Only positives were O'Hare and Sakamoto when they came on they injected a bit of positivity and intensity.

Rant over. Sheets are bloody sodden. Tears AND piss.

You're missing the point entirely

Yes a few may have had that expectation, but the vast majoritiy knew we would be up and down like a tarts knickers after such turnover.

What no one expected, or will put up with after forking out more cash may i add, is a bunch of bollockless wimps who look disinterested and not give a fuck

Thats why people are pissed off

You might be forgetting that it is the owners expectation that we are challenging for the playoffs every year.

I expected comfortable midtable at the moment it looks like we’ve reverted back to our comfortable default position of 17th.

Exactly.

If people can't come on here and vent their frustration where the fuck can they?

I'd sooner everyone got it off their chest here than get on the players back during games.

And I don’t see anything wrong with the owner wanting that, Robins and the entire coaching staff need a rethink because last night was awful, we don’t mind losing sometimes if we play well but that gave us no encouragement at all, my early season optimism as all but gone.

My point was DrPoo was suggesting the fans had too high expectations and somehow that’s an issue.

Well, I don’t think any of us are likely to ‘not support the team’ because of the current situation, it’s just that expectations were high after last season - couple that with a particularly promising recruitment drive.

Personally, I feel that after 13 games in, the problems are blatant. The buck stops with MR and his coaching staff, and it’s up to them to address the issues. The team has no spirit, no drive, no grit, no desire, and tactically, it’s as if we’re playing to lose.

There’s only so often it can be fobbed off as ‘a work in progress’.

Regardless, I feel that MR will do what he has to, and get us rolling. Hopefully, we can keep our heads above water until January, when we can focus on a Hamer replacement, and possibly a few loans (which have served us very well, historically).

Those venting their frustration at the team’s performances care deeply about their club, and it’s understandable. It’s not OTT, in my opinion, to point out facts and the gravity of a situation.

Though, it’s ultimately out of our hands what will happen. Therefore, we can only hope that our fortunes will change.

I don’t get this stance that some fans of calling people out for being “OTT bedwetting”, no one wants to us to be doing poorly, it’s just a fact that we’re sitting right next to the 4 worst teams in the championship. I realise the end of the season is what matters but after 13 games there are 19 teams better than us. It’s not bedwetting it’s just plain awful. Every other team is having to “gel” and every other team has had injury problems. Rotherham were asking the board permission to sign loan players due to their large amount of injuries, yet they still beat us 2-0 with a patched together team.
I don’t think it’s bedwetting at this stage, look at the Cardiff, Huddersfield, Norwich and Bristol games we’re genuinely becoming a poor team.

I’d even venture to say (if nobody has already), that Middlesborough are an example of a team that had to ‘gel’ due to some major personnel changes - they were abysmal, but now look at them.

I think, personally, our issues run a tad deeper than a cosmetic inability to ‘gel’.

However, again, I’m more than happy for this team to prove me wrong, by turning it around.

Can't say I agree with us playing to lose. Last two games we have started on the front foot and should easily have been ahead in both games. If that had happened, I am confident we would have won both fixtures.

They didn't. Just as bad as each other. There was absolutely zero atmosphere for 95% of the match. Even 5 minutes after O'Hare came on, the fans gave up.

I'm not a traditional bedwetter, but this is the first time I've seen the manager look a little lost.

He's always been Mr Adaptable, finding solutions to problems, but if your problem is formation and you've built it around multi-milion pound signings, then it's not as easy to change it up. I think he's in a real pickle; suspect he knows what he needs to do, but to do it he has to admit to some very expensive mistakes.

However, we didn’t? Due to the issues that are now patently obvious.

The comment I made about ‘it’s as if we’re playing to lose’ was probably a step too far into soggy sheet territory, though.

Nevertheless, without that typical spirit, drive and actual cohesion we see in MR’s teams, we’re not actually setting ourselves up for a winning mentality.

Should say that even though it's dire at the moment I'm not particularly worried yet either, I think it'd still have to look shit by Christmas for me to have a proper wobble. I keep thinking about how awful our start to last season was compared to how it ended, and even though it's a completely different scenario, set of circumstances and collection of players now you have to cling on to something, logic out the window
