Start your own fan forum and chat on there instead of filling this one with your fan recruitment propaganda. If a villa fan came on here asking us to go to villa park to show some support you'd all go mad, so why do we let these local rivals try and drum up support ? I know your going to make the point of what league they are in but im pretty sure any real ccfc fans do not want to hear about your fixture issues or how if you beat a memorial park 11 you will get promoted to division 69 where 'the passion is so impressive' and the clubs 'really care about their supports'. Its annoying that we even give, what has been essentially set up to rival or club, a space to recruit from its fan base.

You may have a bit of a point, but surely Villa are in Birmingham and these local clubs are Coventry clubs. We are Coventry City fans and this is Coventry and at the moment Coventry City are not playing in Coventry.

Bit of a difference.

I have no problem with it myslef, these discussions. Fans have been deprived of their football team. Quite natural for some fans to look to maybe get their fix elsewhere while their team are away.

Absolutely Otis, I don't see what the issue is. Next season I'll be watching a combination of Sphinx, Cov United and Cov Rugby. I feel more affinity with those 3 than CCFC at the moment.

Which I think is fair enough. Even thought of going to Sphinx myself to catch a game.

Have no problem with that, no problem, even, with KCiC sponsoring Sphinx and that kind of thing.

The constant attempts to drum up support for Cov Utd is rather tawdry, however.

Must agree with on this one, if the interest is there then start own forum.

I have no issue with these clubs or those who wish to support such clubs but it's just not for me.

Doesn't matter to me ,so long as It's in football and other sports .

Was I some sort of Traitor back In the 70's for getting along to HR with several other thousands to repel the advance of Peterborough's charge on the West end In that Amatuers/Sporting Fa cup clash.

They do have their own forum.

Another way of looking at it - the thread titles normally make it clear what they are about. If you have no interest just don't read it. Doesn't take a massive amount of intelligence to do that.

Seeing any lower non league club as a rival to Coventry City is make believe.

Peterborough and Tranmere? 11 v 22! I'd hardly call that fair.

If we listened to everyone that said certain things shouldn't be discussed on here we would be left with nothing to talk about during the closed season.

Agree with this. Their have been threads about moyes, Man U , Chelsea and plenty of others over time, so why the issue over some local sides? Don't like, don't read . Simples

Such posts are simply symptoms of the big problem, that Coventry City no longer play in Coventry.
