It's headed "Joy Seppala has written an open address to Coventry City fans..."

Not difficult to determine who it's from, signed or not

She is as clueless as Fisher. Some years back she wrote garbage as well. About football and religion, trying to show empathy when she had none to offer.

So that worked!
If we make enough comments about the lack of clarity regarding the SISU investors that own the club then will the tell us who they are?

There is no way this is from Joy Sepalla. I know someone who met her once (in a CCFC context) and apparently she didn't know any of the players names, so very much doubt the 'overcome with emotion'. If she was that overcome, as someone has already asked - why wasn't she there?
Sorry, but I don't believe for a second this is directly from her. Most likely it was penned for her by Tim or the communications people before being signed off and put out in her name.

On another note, I wouldn't get carried away by the bid from the Hoffman consortium. It seems like the parties are just poles apart - too far apart to make something happen. I hope I'm wrong, but sisu don't even see the bids as credible, let alone anywhere near their valuation (as implied with them calling the bids 'derisory').

If it wasn't on the CCFC website I would have put it down as spoof. 'Overcome with emotion' 'unbeaten run' spelling mistakes- not the talk of the queen of debt and not like her Christmas address last time Robins was here. Must have been written for her.

Tim needs a new CEO as he is 'swamped' and has his other business to attend to.

Maybe Tim wrote it for the fans and she agreed it ... a bit like 'peace in our time'....

Now we can be happy that Joy is with us.....;-)

The bit about a person who can engage with the fans....well they haven't got that. But a start would be be some transparency and honesty, a viable business plan and conviction to make progress happen; that would engage the fans.

Bit late for an apology. Perhaps if you'd have done that at the same time as releasing the season ticket prices it may have softened the blow - ever so slightly - but it would've been a gesture and acknowledgement of yet further failings.

Is this not a regurgitation of the Championship relegation statement from Fuck Face Fisher, editing Thorn for Robins and adding a public slagging off of the twat in the hat?

Silly timing and silly way to go about it.

It should have been an actual letter posted out to fans and signed by her personally. (not every single one, but addressed from her). There should have also been a sheet of vouchers the JSB get (costs the club nothing). It should also have been done at the end of the season or the day after relegation, now the timing is obvious because of the Walsall game tomorrow.

Some of the bits sound all well and good:

This was something we tried swiftly to address. We have brought Mark Robins back to the club because we believe he is someone who can successfully rebuild CCFC. I am sure you all see some of those improvements in the short time he has been here. This summer will be one of change and reform as the club has already stated.

Yes, good if it happens.

Lastly, we need to ensure that the club has a CEO with whom the fans can communicate, liaise and bemoan to, when necessary; a leader who can engage with the Sky Blue community at large. We are in the process of recruiting this individual.

Been saying this for ages, great if it happens.

As owners, we must take responsibility for the club’s position. Looking back on this season, I wish we could restart. However, as a great man once said: “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

Take responsibility then, an open letter on the website doesn't really do that. No idea what that quote is but it just sounds stupid.

There have been numerous mistakes made this season. Firstly, player recruitment in the summer was not good enough; the appointment of Russell Slade who, albeit a good man and successful League One manager, was not a good fit for the club given its current predicament and focus on youth players.

Widdrington has come in, people will start having a bit more faith when they see action in the transfer window and a bit of infrastructure.

I was overcome with emotion when the club made the Checkatrade Final, and I can only try and appreciate how it feels to have the club you love and have supported for so long be relegated to the fourth tier.

No she wasn't, no need to put that in and pretend. It's like when Brody strolled around with a city scarf around his neck. I doubt she is going to get an invite into block 15 as number 1 fan to help bang the drum now.

Biggest pile of horse shit ever to grace this forum. They have said this all before and will be saying it again and again. If for 1 sec anybody believe's or is contemplating these changes are happening then you as an individual deserves what will happen to this club if she is still in control for another 8 years.

Time wasting pieces of shit the lot of them and the timing of this letter is more laughable than the content, they have so many fooled but more are seeing the true pattern and timings these scumbags operate within. They are getting away with killing the club and pretending they care for it in the same breath, well that's when Joy can be bothered or needs to react. Tim BS is again failing so out comes Joy, preaching her BS just like the open letter to the telegraph 4 years ago!!!!! Most of the time she hide behind a paper today she out in front of one, wonder why.

learning and changing my arse, they are playing a game with what is dear to thousands of people and doing it with so mush disregard to anything or anyone. Lets hope Joy is at the game tomorrow to show her emotion at watching a L2 team.

It must be from her as she was overcome with emotion at reaching the final! i mean who else cares for the club as much as she does?. It really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, SISU have released it but as always cloud it in shit so its get people talking about who, other than what is in it.

Are you serious? It should have been this and it should have been that. Would any of that made it any better? Not a chance.

This statement is a pisstake and a kick in the balls to ccfc fans.

What happened about the Operations Director they were recruiting? Why has it taken 9 years for a highly educated and experienced businesswoman to come to the conclusion that a few thousand football fans of varying degrees of education and business acumen came to very early on in SISU's reign? This should have always been the brief for a CEO. What is still not included is the word trust as in the sense of " someone the fans can trust ". The fans can communicate and bemoan Tim, but he is unreliable when it comes to liaising and the fans do not trust him. Basically Joy wants Tim to employ someone better than himself - assuming he is still there as Chairman.

The cynic in me suggests ST sales haven't gone well thus far.

An absolute load of tosh and not worth wiping my bum with.

I imagine the letter, including spelling mistakes and poor grammar, was mostly written by Laura. Tim's a twat but he does at least know how to write properly.

Joy would have read it and added the stupid bit at the end where she wrote "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope." That's a quote from Martin Luther King. I doubt that either Tim or Laura would have any idea about that quote. Only a yank would know it.

Got to admit I love a quote as well but it doesn't even make much sense especially when in conjuncture with our situation.

What the hell has that quote got to do with ccfc. Beyond me

Maybe she thinks we are all black? Or all slaves? It is certainly a very strange quote.

I would agree, I have met her a couple of times and this does not read like its from her, she may have given it the ok but I doubt it was actually written by her.

Sepalla was allegedly so overcome with emotion she let her umbrella slip and half her face melted into her Finnish phrase book.

It's just a season ticket boosting exercise.

I've been clearing out the shed and found one of the kids croquet mallets. Would somebody give me a hand to reinsert this 'letter' whence it came?
