Grimsby only total an attendance of 248 for EFL Trophy game, including just 3 Sunderland away fans.

Even though there were only 3 of them, I still bet at least one of the Sunderland fans spent the entire game moaning about the City v Bristol 2-2 draw in 1977.

Hahahaha. Pathetic....only having 50% of your genuine fans rock up for a game just down the coast, losers.

It shocks me this. You can argue that it's only a reserve team, but for family to not even bother! If my son was playing in a professional cup at the age of 18/19 just family members alone we'd probably tale a dozen or so. Says something not just about Sunderland fans but family and friends of the players too! Cunts! That's all

It's closer that 90% of their games, so in comparison to everywhere other than the northern Yorkshire clubs, it is a short drive.

I know I've mentioned it before. but me and my mate were in a total of 16 City fans when we played Stole at the Victoria Ground in the Full Members' Cup or whatever it was called back in the mid 80s.

I was on my own with only my mate's heavily pregnant wife (City season ticket holder) for company to see a viewing of Fever Pitch (Arsenal's lowest ever crowd? She was getting fed up waiting for her daughter to be born, so I agreed to spend a strange afternoon praying I didn't need hot water and towels!

Once turned up at Hull to watch The Blaze. It soon became apparent that I was the only one that bothered!

Went to a League Cup mid week game away at Ipswich back in the old First Division days - 93 of us there, I counted! Lost I think, Tommy English was struggling to hit a barn door back to Cov very late of course

Now post your results for away fans who had shorter distances.

No doubt they'll find an excuse to blame us for their current plight...

Newcastle had a very low turnout at Highfield Road after their relegation was confirmed in 78 I believe. Night game and there were low teens in the kop corner.
I can remember a game st Easter 73 when we played Sheffield United at a 3 sided Bramhall lane where we took 1 red house coach and that wasn't full.

I remember us playing Chelsea at home in either 1990 or 1991 and there can't have been more then 400 Chelsea fans there, how times change.
