On This Day in History (kcic mailout 18 May 2014)

27 years ago today…

  • There were a lot of City fans with chronic hangovers wondering if the previous 48 hours had just been a wonderful dream
  • Yes, we really had won the FA Cup
  • In the best final in modern times
  • Best party ever in Coventry on the Saturday night
  • A quarter of a million people on the streets of Coventry on the Sunday
  • It really did all happen!

1 year ago today…

  • sisu promised to build a new stadium with Tim Fisher saying
  • “We have started the process of procuring land so that we can shift the new stadium build forward at a pace”
  • “We have left the Ricoh Arena”
  • “That long-term vision has us playing in the Coventry area in a new stadium that will be designed and delivered in three years”
  • A year later: no site identified, no land purchased, no planning application submitted...

Judicial Review

  • A few people are asking what’ll happen with the JR
  • kcic has always assumed sisu will win – they must be confident in order to pursue it - but other people say they won't
  • Some people say it will be a game changer but others disagree
  • All we know for sure is it starts June 10 to be heard by The Hon. Mr Justice Hickinbottom - and given all the spin good luck to him!

kcic t-shirts

  • Are now available to order/collect from Bludog, 158 Longford Road, Coventry CV6 6DR
  • kcic products are made to order so call in to the shop, decide what you want, pay for it, and choose to collect or you can pay for it to be delivered
  • Opening times: 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 12 noon Saturday.
  • Enquiries: sales@bludoguk.com or telephone 02477 220210.
  • Bludog will shortly be launching its website 'one click' system for anyone who wants to buy online. In the meantime, some t-shirts are available online at www.creativemidfielder.co.uk/shop.php?c=keep-coventry-in-coventry

Yes mate, indeed it was a Monday. And like the man says, many people had hangovers and wondered if the last 48 hours had been a dream.

Only person's view that matters is the judge - assumption isn't based on any view of the facts of the case (especially as some people say they've seen/heard stuff which means sisu will definitely win while others say the council has done nothing wrong and it will be dismissed out of hand) just that to pursue it sisu must surely be confident of victory??
