ON THIS Date: Monday 30th December 1933 - Arthur Bacon scores five times against Gillingham... Think this was BHSB first game

And there's Clarrie Bourton, front middle. So if Arthur Bacon scored five, how many did Clarrie bag? 17?

And look at the size of the squad with three keepers. By the way got a great framed picture of all our kits from Singers to present day. We wore sky blue many years before Jimmy Hill called us the Sky Blues.

Salt of the earth that lad. His passing was a bit streaky, but he was lean and every time I saw him play he gave me a lardon.

I can imagine them sat there with their hearing aids, tartan rugs to keep their knees warm and a packet of boiled sweets to keep em going. Bless.

How did you know? 30s,40s and 50s were great then this bloke from London turned up it was all downhill from then. If he hadn't have come here we wouldn't be going what we're going through now. Yes I blame him for everything that's happened to this club.

Why is there two different kits there? Some with thin stripes and some with much thicker, almost halves?

Is it the home and away kit? One is grey and white and the other white and grey?

Looked at the kit in that year and it was dark blue and white stripes shirt with dark blue shorts, looks like Sheff Wednesday. In fact we played in those two colours up until 1962 when we started playing in sky blue.

They could be wearing training kits ? As the kit shown is not the one they wore in league games on the picture I've got. They wore navy/white stripes from 1924 to 1934.

Hard to tell as the pic I've put up is in black n' white. I'm sure if it was in colour it'd be in the colours you've mentioned .however , there are 3 different styles of kit in that pic that I can see. seems odd.

Looking at all of our kits we've had some good ones. When we were Singers FC in 1889 they wore a real trendy looking one of navy blue/yellow which looks something from today. In 1892-98 it was black and red.
But was surprised to see a sky blue kit in 1889 !

The stall sells all sorts of pictures, music, film, sport etc. I spotted it and the owner said he gets Cov City stuff in all the time. I'm going there again in a couple of weeks as he said the best seller is the one with City legends on so want that. I'll let you know if I get there before you.
