Cut caused by clash of heads. Fight stopped. Go to cards.

Bad cut that, pressure was coming...looked a small ring that would favour River a bigger ring than that

Thought denny won myself , hopefully an opportunity for bent to go away, shape up and go again .

All about learning isn't it .

Always tough to step in the ring, so much respect for that

Fuck me he got lucky to get the draw there!
That was a left hook that caused that cut imo.

Just shown that reply and there's blood on Dennys arm after that left hook. I'm shocked the bloke waffling on didn't spot it

Not a chance, how does a left hook cause a cut to the opponents left eye?
Looked like a clash of heads to me.

Very lucky there.

I still think River will do him in a rematch. He'll take the experience.

You've got to ask questions when there's such disparity in the scoring.

Did you just watch the slow motion replay or not?
Clear as fuck that he ducked down into a short left straight onto his left eye.
Rewind it and watch it, it's as clear as you like.

Defo no head clash. Very confused. Think he might have lost in the end without that happening

Your initial post said left hook. I didn't see a straight left as causing the damage but I'll watch again because I was looking to the head or right hand as causing the damage.

We left after the ref had stopped it and before the decision was announced.

We left because we assumed Denny had got the decision.

Two cracking fights though, although I thought the lad from Leeds in the previous fight was a bit hard done by.

Don’t know if you watched live or on TV, but after initial confusion they showed it very clearly it was from the left hook. Tried to find the footage but found a portion of it on Twitter which will have to do but definitely caused by the punch.

I thought River was far superior to be honest. Denny just wanted to hug a lot

Is it really a surprise to anyone? Boxing reeks of corruption. Cartwright in the fight before gets waved off despite being on his feet with 3 seconds of being felled, Wilson-Bent gets battered and somehow gets a draw. Just makes a mockery of the sport.

Fighters who sell a lot of tickets usuallly have to be ko'd to lose
Promoters will try to find a way of avoiding their defeat in other circumstances as they want to sell their next fight
I wanted River to win but whatever way the verdict had gone would have caused upset
Now of course it can be built up as a grudge re-match
