First time on "the hill" 39 miles to the car park from home. Tedious on motorway with road works only 34 on the return M1 , A5 to Nuneaton.food in F&B's free parking. Was surprised how many on the hill. I counted 58 in the first half. Some regular some new. Around the same numbers in 2nd half but different people. Some local (Cov) some travelled 2 hours for their first time.
Game a bit indifferent 1st half we were not up for it apart from 2 pacey breaks , perhaps should have had 1 goal.2nd half started really well missed chances as usual , then got back in it.Then sucker punch. Another missed pen. Game over.good banter on the hill , respect , as it is not easy standing there with the wind in your face .not sure how I feel about those going in to the ground.saw a few guys I know really well , spoke and shook hands.Saw a few who walked past and looked down almost as if they were ashamed or embarrassed.whatever you do be proud to be sky blue and keep the faith.PUSB's

I have posted on these threads before giving my backing as I do have friends that go in sixfields. You and your 2 mates however jump on the bandwagon when ever there is a hill, whistle or anti sisu thread never seen any backing from you..

So I should back up the likes of you ok if you need my help I'll see what I can do.

Funny how you ignore posts that do call those who go inside names. Look at recent shit from MMM and continued shit from others.

How many you obviously can't count

If you bother to look back you will see that whenever your whistle was mentioned at Sixfields I said I didn't have a problem with it as long as it didn't affect the players. That still stands.

The Hill at Sixfields

Yet again I watched a game from a hill over looking a stadium below.
I started to think about how sad and low our club has become.
On the way to the spot where I stand we walk along a path as those going into the stadium walk the other way. Some smile, others drop there heads and some shake my hand and converse about how hard things are. I do not think anyone wants to be watching games in Northampton but some just have to be near the team and support them regardless of where it is. I say to those few, fair play, it's a choice we all have to make, like mine is to stand on a hill and watch my team with friends who will not go inside the ground.
Like at the Ricoh we now have a match day ritual, we go for a meal, chat about our problems then walk over to the game. We like those who go inside, those who stay at home, those who have started to follow other teams we want to enjoy 90 minuets with friends and see our Sky Blues play.
Let's not knock each other for making choices, let's all support our team in what ever way we feel is best.
I for one will be on the hill against Swindon and again against Wolves. I hope to see even more new faces and show SP we may not be in the stands but we are still behind you and the lads.

Probably couldn't see us, as we moved round to see the goal we were attacking? I can upload the photo evidence if you wish

If you lot want me to back your corner I'll give it a go but have enough trouble backing my own.

Funny how I have to watch my back now when I out even when I am with my family what with the intimidation and bullshit that goes with it will have to give it all in after this season can't afford to get divorced.
And I don't even no if it is worth fighting for anymore?

Couldn't even be bothered with the Hill today slept during the game and turned on the radio at 5.15 to see what the score was now that is a first.

It's always a pleasure to meet people and but faces to the names.
May not be a lot of us on the hill some games but it's always fun.
Does look like numbers are swelling, be interesting to see the numbers against Wolves.

May well be along for Swindon, not sure whether I want to go on the hill or in the ground. The experience will be bizarre either way!

As I have said many times before its a personal choice to go inside Sixfields or to watch from the hill, to me its my own personal statement, I go to every game away and at home. I stand on the hill when at home and generally I enjoy the experience, met some real characters.
Yesterday we were talking to a chap who came with his young daughter, he watched the first half inside then at half time he came up onto the hill. It was hard for him, he was upset that now his child is old enough to have a day out with her Dad it has to be so far away from home. He explained how difficult the decision was to go inside, I can understand how he feels as he wants his daughter to be a Coventry fan. I like many others are struggling to keep the faith as my Sons have lost interest now and doing other things.
I say, do what you feel is right, do what your heart says.
One thing I would suggest is that everyone and I mean everyone should at least give the hill a go, even if just for one game.

I had my first visit to the hill this weekend, as a long term season ticket holder before it's been heart breaking to not be going to games with my daughters. I was sort of forced to go this weekend as I had family over from the USA. My 16 year old cousin asked me to take him to a game as I had done the same for his elder brother a couple of years back. Since being asked I had been in 2 minds all week and the last thing I wanted to do was spoil a perfectly good afternoon where he could do anything but then again I couldn't force myself to give even a couple of quid to the thieves that stole my beloved sky blues.

Anyway ended up going on the hill, took my 2 teenage girls, my niece and my cousin from the states. Went over to the fair ground side for the first half to see the goal we were attacking, really didn't know what to expect but actually really enjoyed it, everyone on the hill was having a a great laugh, made lots of noise and all enjoyed the extra entertainment provided by a young lad called asbo

Second half we moved to near the car wash but the view was more restricted and had to move back and forth with the action but have to say I'm a total convert! I loved every minute of it, ok it's not the same as being at our rightful home past or present but it was a fun experience and me and the kids will be back for the remaining so called home games
