And you think Collins will be happy going from a guaranteed starter (that's how we bought him) to a certified backup in one season ?

Wilson at least is comfortable in his role as backup. He won't be stirring up problems in the changing room moaning about lack of game time. Not saying Collins will but he'd surely be put out being demoted so quickly.

If either goes, it'll be Collins looking for another starter position.

Collins never came as garunteed starter. Wilson started the season and it wasn't until he had made a few mistakes in November he was dropped and Collins got his chance.

A lot of the reviews I’m reading from Swedes are saying he’s not great at commanding the box or claims. Hopefully something we can coach.

I watch his last game for them and said the same, looked good at everything a part from commanding his area. That needs work but he is young and has room and time to grow. Do not be shocked if we bring in the lad from Plymouth and we see Wilson and Collins be shown the door. All this is going to play out over next few weeks.

I think since about the millennium literally every fan of every team has said that about their goalie haven't they?

Would rather Collins out than Wilson. Would rather a happy #2 than an unsettled one. Could probably recoup some of our investment back too. We know Wilson is a capable backup.

Well we wanted Dovin well before Collins had his end of season nightmare …..

Considering there have been multiple rumours of Wilson being told he can leave and him telling people he’s off, it’s pretty safe to say he’s the one the club are looking to get rid of.

Collins is a better keeper than Wilson technically however I just can not forget him for pulling out of a couple of 50/50 challenges last year which is genuinely unforgivable. He just hasn’t got the bottle to be a top keeper and for that reason alone I’d fuck him off.

Same for me after Wilson jumped out the way of the ball away at Cardiff for one of their goals.

I’d imagine he’d let Wilson leave for nothing but can’t see there being many takers and we’d want to get some of the fee back for Collins, so I expect they’ll both be around next season.

Didn't argue that point so well done.

Both have faults but Collins is the one we brought in as a starting keeper last season. He won't be starting this season which could imply that he would want to seek another club where he can start.

Before he left, Godden told Saddlebrains that Wilson and Allen were both gone. I believe he used the percentage with Wilson 100%

all this talk is rubbish.

robins knows the new keeper is raw. he might not start straightaway.

robins is keeping collins and Wilson for competition.

Allen is going nowhere, he recently took on Simon Moore old house

He is hardly raw. Probably already got better pedigree than Wilson and Collins combined

He’s played nearly 90 games in Sweden’s top flight, played in european games and international games. He’s not raw. He’s age at 22 means he has plenty of development to come on but experienced for his age. However Robins being Robins it would t surprise me if he did start one of the current lot as he slowly integrates players at times.

You don't pay 1.6 million plus add ins to start a keeper on the bench. We don't have that luxury.

I'm the first to tell fans on here not to worry about finances or budget they know nothing about, but there's no way the plan is to keep 3 senior keepers. It makes no sense at all.
With GIMOCs record one of them will probably be off tomorrow.

How many did we have last season?

Think it's unlikely that we retain all three but we've done it before. If Collins or Wilson decide they want to sit out their contract then we have little choice.

Yeh because we couldn't move Moore on. I said it's not the plan, if they choose to sit on their contracts fair enough but theres no way we want that. Its bullshit.
I don't really see Collins or Wilson wanting to do a Moore either tbh.

Think there’ll be extended efforts to get rid of Collins or Wilson. We’d be mugging ourselves off having 3 senior keepers.

I’m still of the mind that neither is clearly better than the other, so I wouldn’t give a shit which one. Collins has the extra year.

I don’t think GIMOC is right at all. Again.

I reckon his song should be to Alouette:

Oli Dovin, Oli Oli Dovin,
Oli Dovin, Oli Oli Dovin,
With his massive feet (With his massive feet)
And his shitty jeans (And his shitty jeans)
And his surströmming (And his surströmming)

Oooooolli Dovin, Oli Oli Dovin.

You're welcome.

Apparently we got a reduced fee as he demanded wages in line with top earners. I’d be amazed if he’s benched to start.

Robins is notoriously cautious with new players. It cost us last season with his reluctance to give Simms games in the first few months.

To argue Dovin is raw is interesting given Wilson is older but doesn’t have much more match experience ….
