That's crap mate. We are paying our team 3 million more than Tranmeres. We have a home crowd that is top 6, a budget that is top 3. We are still a big fish in this league. Your attitude is small time, if even a qtr of those who went up the Arsenal came to away league games we would take up 50% of the average crowd. How can we be thinking so small and so accepting of where we are in the league.

You have to accept where you are in order to move forward. Too many fans looked at the league and expected it to be a cakewalk.

I don't disagree, but I do wonder if that thinking by both fans and players isn't hurting us at the moment. The support was so good at Arsenal because expectations were low, players played better because they raised their game. Both of those things are missing in our league campaign at the moment.

We will have to agree to disagree then.

Think half our problem this season has been that we have expected to win and not respected teams enough.

It's a tough division. We should do well but no-one should be expecting promotion. Something we should aspire to though for sure.

Anyone know the team? They usually announce on CWR at 2pm. I'm here and they haven't announced anything yet that I've heard. What a shit ground though. Wood seats don't you love it.

Yeah exactly we lost 6-1 to a reserve team and ppl thought it was the best match ever.

This used to be a proud club.

A reserve team made up of some of the most talented individuals in Europe? We got beat by a superior team. They were faster than us, stronger than us, more intelligent than us BUT we made them work for it in the first 60 minutes of the game and it was only due to the tired legs that we ended up getting beaten the way we did. Stop being such a sour puss and see the bloody positives for once! I wasn't embarrised by that score line. I was embarrised by the 4-1 mullering we got the game before because we are on a equal footing with that team. Arsenal we are no where near in terms of skill etc so it was inevitable something like that would happen.

I have just seen the line up for the game today...where is McGoldrick?

Why is Robins persisting with Sheff and Brown?

McSheffrey is one of the only ones I've seen that seems to understand McGoldrick's movement. As for Brown, no idea.

This is his third game in charge and for me his first proper game. I imagine Brown and McSheffrey are showing something in training. Also he clearly wants to bring width back to the midfield and with no other out and out wingers already at the club when he took over, so I guess Sheffers fits the bill better than anyone else.

I thought Fleck might get in ahead of Macca but at least Barton is out which I'm happy about. Shame the centre of defence is still filled by a pair of planks so we are defo gonna need to score at least 2.

Seems like Cody won''t be given the chance to determine whether he understands Goldies movement or not .Considerably leaner looking than sheffers at present also.

That would require a change in formation, though I do agree with the sentiment.

Is Fleck on the bench? Concerned that he's not ahead of Sheff unless he has a knock.

Re: Brown, Maybe he hopes that by keeping the centre back pairing settled we will start to see a better understanding that can help the defence tighten up. I'm still wondering what has happened to Malaga though. Maybe same language issues as those reportedly behind the Edge decision?

Just how much understanding can two blocks of concrete strike up? I mean if it was two gnomes we were talking about, maybe....

If we win this game, I'll wear exactly what I'm wearing now to every future game. So if you see someone wearing Where's Wally PJ's in block 15 that'll be me.

Poor start. Defence nervy, midfield not getting hold of it. Need to stem the tide and work to get into the game.

Its a bit scrappy but I think we are getting into it a bit now and at least Oldham aren't dominating like they were for the first 10. Bailey and Moussa are getting going and I'm sure I saw Macca running just now.
