The only minor clue is that Massey Ferguson (running/athletics) share the same top..... Red/White quarters.

I don't know how long Massey's have been a feature in the City, but the running club didn't form until 1977 though.

I don't know how long Massey's have been a feature in the City, but the running club didn't form until 1977 though.

They were about in early sixties,my dad used to play for them, one of those traits that help you with job application's in the 60' even if you were an immigrant.

not a complete dead end though- there was a pretty high churn of motor companies I believe, so not inconceivable that whatever the team were above had some sort of formative link with MF.
