8 million but expect he’d go for around 4/5 million.

The thing is he is a hugely influential player at the club and how it operates on the field.

Different player entirely but a midfielder like Gerry Daly was similar and when he left we fell apart. Not exactly the same with Yorath but the fulcrum of the team is o hare in the same way it was with yorath and when he went to Tottenham we fell flat

If bids are going to come in - and if he scores again tomorrow the calculator is getting bigger - the clubs Owners need to make a statement and offer a bigger contract to match wages he’d get at another club. It’s a lot cheaper net than getting a replacement.

Our success relies a lot on him and his ability and his imagery around the fans

I don’t think it’s a case of winning is it?

The bottom line is I don’t think these owners are capable of keeping the club competitive In this league. I don’t think also it’s their first priority. Actually that’s a cast iron fact it isn’t even an opinion.

The ground fiasco has been running on for years and years - the first move was at least strategic - the second utterly desperate and a huge gamble from which the club was never likely to recover

The asset base of the club is non existent and we are already 20% of the way through a declining valueless short term lease.

That’s a problem with no solution. We all know is is stage 3 in the half arsed attempt to get the long lease and it’s a vendetta that’s not going away

There is no new ground. The owners are continually playing fast and loose with the long term viability of the club.

There is no inward investment coming and no strategic plan to move forward So the club will continue to rely on short term loans at high interest and every season that clicks by its long term stability gets even worse. These are undeniable facts

There’s only one plan and it’s not really changed

we have no ground and we are occurring net losses every season - our value as a club without players is the nominal £1

We have a medium term lease that gives some medium term stability. The net losses are being covered by loans as that is the only way they can be covered. The argument is as you know that the loans are not being called in and will help maximise their sale value when it comes to this.
The new stadium would bring long term security im surprised your not behind it. I know you’re convinced sisu want the cbs but anyone knows that this will take years and years as wasps aren’t going anywhere. Anyway Ohare!!!!! When did we last sell a player at the first opportunity and for less than they are worth? McCallum got top dollar Baylis same Maddison same Wilson same. It’s a myth we sell at the first opportunity

What’s not a myth is we have to sell for a profit to fund the ongoing costs and to reinvest some on replacements

Norwich will get something like £91m for finishing bottom of the Prem. Surely we’d hold out for decent money…?

Yawn. All you do is throw this crap around. Yet you're the one having the council Muppets round. Ironic really.

As I said, very much like Johnson and kalns.

No it’s not. The value is what somebody will pay for it. Hoffman offered £7m in league 2.

We won’t need to sell him because we will get promoted via the playoffs.

COH and Hamer are already on big wages that are unaffordable if we stay in the Championship
We probably had to do it to protect the club from either walking away for free when their previous contracts expired

What is the average wage for top end championship clubs and I am talking new contracts. Forgetting the relegated three my guess is a lot of contracts will level out, lot of clubs a lot worse than us in the division.

We would be mad to sell him for 5 million unless there is a clause in the contract if he kicks on next season and adds more goals he could be worth three times that

Even if it's clickbait b*ll*cks, I'd be fuming at the club if the below happened/was true

Coventry City have placed a £5million price tag on Norwich City target Callum O’Hare, Football Insider understands.

Like I said, I know loads of these stories are rubbish, but that would be a terrible bit of business by the club.

Not a penny less than 10 million, I don't care how unrealistic that sounds, if you look at some of the shit some of the bigger budgeted clubs spent more on in this division . As someone said earlier he's priceless to the team . So if you want him fuckin pay for him.

??? Are you saying that if we don't get promoted we are going to have to sell both of them?? If this is true and the 'we have to sell' message is out there, then unless there is a bidding war, clubs will try and shaft us knowing we have to sell. I understand that you are 'in the know @better days , but is this a 'fact' , or something you suspect? Not knocking you, but to lose both would be gutting for fans (albeit, heroes always come and go, Doyle, McNulty, Dion, Mortimer, Hutch etc). Will need a really positive summer transfer market to appease the fanbase. MR has buckets of goodwill, but the owners will come into sharp focus if the above transpires, and the summer dealings are meh. Let's hope and pray we win the next 4 games (and win the play offs!)

Why even set a price tag? And if you do, why not be bloody ruthless and say 10 Mill lads or piss off. They then offer 7 and we are two mill up on what we wanted. How I do it on fm

The bit I don't get is (and I accept that some of these 'set a price of £5m' may well be b*ll*cks, but there is silence about the sale price when anything happens 'undisclosed', I have banged on about this before, but act more like Peterborough, and shout silly prices, or bargain hard like Wimbledon used to - £7m for Carl Cort to Newcastle in about 1921, or some such distant year.

I think if that is true and 2 of our main players are sold, all momentum and good will between fans and the owners will be shot. Losing one for the right price I can accept

a lot of fees have so many add one it’s impossible to work out. The McCallum fee is an example of that. We were it seems putting out a £3 million plus fee but Norwich scoffed at that and claimed the initial fee was under a million.
