Hadn't thought of that. Forgetting the price, if it had to be done, I'd like that, and then invest in a Scott Twine type. As an alternative - and I know he's getting on a bit, but if Sheffield Wednesday don't go up, I'd be interested in Barry Bannan (I know it's not our model re: age, and wages may be silly?), but he'd create a hatful of chances (half tempted to delete this last bit, but he's a different level to anybody else in L1)

Min £10m. He is worth at least that. Talk of anything less wouldn't be good for us.

Story suggests interest was in Jan.
Smith let him go for nothing.

Personally think it’s click-bait bollocks

If you’re talking about COH, that’s laughable. If he has another good season with us and adds even 4/5 league goals more to his game, he’s going to a Mid Table PL team. He’s too good for Norwich. Considering Newcastle paid good money (pre Arabs) for shit like Jacob Murphy, players like COH will 100% be on the radar.

COH is too good for Norwich who will be in the same league as us in 4 weeks time.

Getting into the Prem via the playoffs is worth something like 180 million IIRC why would we jeopardise for a paltry sum - after a we could still do it PUSB

Probably a load of nothingness, it's the CovTel for heavens sake

But Norwich again ? Do we have some back alley secret handshake link with them as they keep taking our promising players and doing nothing with them. Maddison only really progressed when he went to Leicester and McCallum the same when given game time at QPR.

Mid table PL clubs will be and are interested in younger players with more upside like Brennan Johnson. Norwich steamrolled this league last season, not sure how you can say he’s too good for them.

Money talks but it's down to him at the end of the day. Guess I'm stubborn but I'd say get stuffed, you let me go at Villa.

Sick and tired of being a feeder club for Norwich. If they really want to do business then £12M, not a penny less.

I’m sure he won Championship player of the month three or four times in a row with Norwich. To the extent that he could he came on significantly with them.

Robins would love Sam back I think.

Problem is I couldn't name a single player in our league or below who could replace his role for us. There are better players in general, but he's instrumental to our tactics.

in reality is our only chance of holding onto our players is to hope we make the playoff's, and go up.

10 Million and Sam McCallum on a perm and you've got a deal.

Spend half of that on Twine and Tom Lawrence

£5m would be a slap in the face.

We sold our left back to them for £3.5 when we were a L1 club. They can't pay a little bit extra to get the player that makes us tick and is a championship regular.

Does seem like some bored Sunday journo putting something together when they have nothing else though.

Now that he has a few goals to his credit, £10m minimum as many have suggested with sell on clauses included and a loan back to us for next season.

Inevitable there will be interest, but it’s absolutely pivotal we do all we can to keep him.

I think he has a real affiliation for the club too, and while money talks, hopefully that at least stops him attempting to push through any moves/jumping at the first chance.

Also, a move to another Championship club isn’t necessarily all that. We keep the big three and add a few, we’ll 100% be challenging next year. Why walk away from that? Unless - back to an earlier point - the money offered is another level.

Norwich will be 100% challenging not us. It’s a viable route to premiership football and. Massive hike in wages

Norwich will be coming down a different team than went up Cantwell and the guy they sold to Villa ripped up the league last time. It won’t be as easy for them this time but he would get a big pay rise, I have said for ages that they may take two of our big three as Viktor would be a young version of Pukki.

The story stinks of Boddy, he knows the owners will again produce no funds so they need to get their own.
