To be fair to the OP , even though I don't agree with it .. the other issue is the loss of mcfadzean , as we were starting to put results together without Cal ( we definitely look better with him in the 11 though )

We now need to find yet another way of getting results already just 25 games in because the loss of fadz is also having a pretty big impact on our starting 11

Fadz plus Cal out = double shit

The loss of CoH is far worse than the Fadz injury - he’s one of our best signings since relegation from the PL and is so important to the way we play. Our sustained improvement in form was due to him getting back up to speed after injury.

If we took the same approach to your posting history, there would be almost no trace of you left on this forum.

Ofcourse , however I was pointing out that we've lost the one true leader in the starting 11 , without Cal we adapted our style to pick up results and were starting to get them, cal came back in at Watford away .

We've shipped almost 33% of this seasons goals in the 6 games fadz has been out ..

It's also a problem , fadz has been huge for us too

There is no natural leader on the pitch atm

No energy in the team without him, we look slow and passive.

Would be absolutely mad if someone created a ridiculous thread that was never deleted without ever acknowledging all the ridiculous stuff they said, wouldn't it GRENDEL?

Let the thread live, the OP had a point at the time and was wrong - much like you have been and I have been on many occasions.

A massive loss and all to evident again today. Vic is also not the same player without O’Hare.

Going to miss him every day.

Any other side at this level replaces him in Jan.

We will have to sign an AM.

It will be impossible to sign anyone as good as COH though.

One thing is for certain

if o hare hadn’t managed to play the games he had we’d be staring down tbe barrel of relegation

people talk about the spine of a team

Gyokeres o hare and Mcfazdean carry the team and have done

He makes us better purely from his work rate and press alone. When he isn't there, we don't show half the urgency we do with him. Then every now and then he adds to this with a little bit of magic.

Its fine to keep saying never question robins but what was the signing of Palmer all about? A highly expensive recruit whose the actual opposite of his ethos. Hard work and press off the ball. He has to be accountable for that - it’s just a bizarre waste of limited resources

Surely it was Viveash who instigated that signing?

Robins I assume has some say in it or is Viveash controlling transfer policy?

Should have offered Swansea £1 million for Paterson instead

We need money spending all over the pitch but it won’t be. Palmer was signed to complement a player who’s spent nearly all season injured.

Well sure, the buck stops with him and all that. But there’s clearly a difference between being the driving force behind an underwhelming signing, versus being taken in by your trusted assistant on the same player.

All that being said, I think Viveash needs a new party trick - these failed Chelsea academy products don’t seem to be cutting it anymore.

The one game Palmer and O'Hare played together (Blackburn I think), both off the bench. They looked made for each other.

I'm certain the aim was to have him as a companion to O'Hare.

They've started 2 games together, lost against blackpool at home and beat Wigan at home (although 0-0 when they both left the pitch). They didn't particularly link up well in either game IIRC.

Palmer and O'Hare did okay in the first half that day, under the circumstances.
