O'Hare was with us for 5 seasons, albeit one and a bit was spent injured. Plenty of other players have been considered legends over much shorter playing periods. He was also close to being first name on the team sheet in 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons and played an important part in our promotion from league 1 and then in establishing us in the Championship. I enjoyed watching him play for us, so legend or not I am glad we had him. Its a shame we haven't got a fee for him but how much we will miss him will depend a lot on how Rudoni settles in, but it feels that now is probably a good time for him and us to move on.

I enjoyed watching him too. So good goals, crucial goals as well, but not a legend by any stretch.

if he'd have stayed, and helped us over the line into the prem, then he would have been a legend.
left before the job was done.

Will go down as a Club hero for the memories he’s left us with, wasn’t close to legend status but thats no dig at him. Club legend from modern day would be Liam Kelly, and Im undecided on McFadzean but leaning more towards club hero

Will he?

What standout moments did he have, or crucial goals like Godden?

People bummed him because he wore a sky blue wig and stuck someone's shades on to celebrate.

Yes he was a good player, and had some great games for us, but I wouldn't go as far as Club hero

I agree in the sense of club hero/legend is used far too easily these days. That really should be reserved for special players the likes of which you will never see again or players that make a huge number of appearances for the club.

However I do think people are playing down the role he’s played for us because he’s chose to try and better himself and leave the club.

To say he never scored crucial goals like Godden…godden’s a striker for a start I’d expect him to score more or there’s an issue. But just looking at the second half of last season when he came back from injury…two goals against blues, two against Leicester including a volley that is up there for one of the loudest celebrations I’ve heard at the cbs. His involvement in the winning goal against wolves was also crucial. He is gonna be a miss for me there’s always an expectation we would do something when he got on the ball.

A hero I agree prob too far but whoever signs him is getting a bargain on a free let’s not kid ourselves.
