We are consistent in our inconsistency.

Even if we won every one of our home games from now on our home record for the season would be still be 'Average'!!

The problem with our home form is that every team visiting the Ricoh see a world class venue (taking pictures etc) and raise their game accordingly. This problem will, to a large extent, go away if we are still in this league come August.

This is a good point. You only have to look at the amount of day trippers last week. Some clubs seem to approach it almost as a cup tie, especially on a Saturday when they tend to bring bigger away followings (big for those clubs anyway), and their players seem to raise their game accordingly.

Midweek games are a bit more low key, and our record this season midweek at home:

D2 W2 L0

Spot on Tony, these guys come and raise their games, I wouldn't say it will go away though, the Ricoh is in the top 15 stadiums in the country so its going to motivate players and clubs for a long time yet !

Perhaps therefore we should make it not so comfortable for them......cold showers only, no carpet on the away dressing room floors etc.

I remember me and a few others being shot down in preseason for suggesting that teams would enjoy coming to the Ricoh and raise their game.

How many points is it we've dropped at home this season?

After the Swindon game I was thinking we might not win another home game this season.

I remember you shooting me down for saying playoffs were possible. Yet here we are still with a chance going into final 9 games of season

personal viewpoint of mine is that having seen all home games so far,
only 2 teams, mk dons & swindon have not 'parked the bus',
if SP & crew can discover how to avoid this,
then it's all positive

Ricoh has this perception of being a top stadium probably helped by the Olympics, but I think MK have a much better designed stadium in our league with more leg space and padded seats and tiered construction (although not in use yet) + good playing surface.
It's probably we still seen as a "big" team along with Sheff U and Portsmouth but they have their own problems of staying in existence.

I don't know. But I can tell you how to work it out. Multiply the number of games we lost at home by three. Multiply the number of games we drew by two. Add them together.

Next two home games could save or ruin our season.
Need two wins FULL STOP!

Unfortunately I just can't see us doing it. For the reasons mentioned it's become too big a task for them.

A bit of luck along the way would have helped but since McGoldrick left we haven't opened up defences as easily either. This doesn't help when teams come and park the bus - then nick a win on the counter. How many times has that happened this season? If SP can address that then we've got a chance.
