Eakin just announced that Oggy will be covering every game alongside him for Coventry and Warwickshire. Could have some interesting insights, certainly will be thousands of times better than Winch and Foster.

Won’t it get a bit embarrassing when Clive says “Southend are clean through but it’s a great save by Ogrizovic”

I've always found oggy quite boring in all honesty. I suppose anything is an upgrade on the current CWR team but cant say I'm thrilled about it being oggy

Wonder if this came about as the Former Players Association threw their toys out of the pram and said they weren't going to St Andrews. Thankfully they've seen sense now and changed that but CWR might have already lined this up to make sure they're covered.

Good move for Oggy. Since Geoff had his stroke he's not on as much and I'd presume Martin Winch is being lined up to replace Clive when he decides he's had enough. Oggy can get in and have a job for pretty much as long as he likes.

Not sure if Linnell is doing games, they mentioned he's taking over the Friday phone in. Wouldn't surprise me if he isn't.

From any interview I've heard with him he's a bit of a mumbler. Agree generally though

They need to get more than the same 4 or 5 people phoning in.

Not as amusing as if he’s forgot the disgraceful incident when on Mercia when Linnell was encouraging fans to phone in and slag him off after a cup defeat I think at Norwich and his wife called and asked the pathetic Linnell if he was proud of himself as he’d reduced their son to tears due to the abuse

I remember that, started an avalanche of calls in support of the big man.
Think Linnell learnt a lesson that night.

Recently asked Oggy about that and was he ever close to leaving. He said he was close one time when Gould was in charge (2nd time) and there was a bit of interest a couple of years later but nothing concrete on that occasion.

Gould dropped him for his son who wasn't half as good a keeper
