Could be the thing that's improved the most for me.

From looking fragile and open to pressure at times (pre today), we seem super disciplined springing the offside trap with it working regularly.

Thought we were superb denying Swansea any momentum and to the coaching behind that change, hat's off, massive improvement in game management

It kills any momentum and takes the pressure off us.

Amazing coaching work

On top of sorting the goalies out too in his spare time...

I also liked that Thomas appeared to be deeper, closer to the baseline when recieving the ball from Dovin, which after laying it off then recieving it back creating the space to go on a charge upfield, although it didn't come off with his pass going astray.

It’s been good. Scary as fuck with the linesmen in this division though.

This. It will fuck us over at some point but it’s clear that the high line works with our personnel.

It's also pushed the midfield further up the pitch leaving the strikers less isolated. The whole team looks better for it.

We look way more compact, units are closer together and the press is very good. We lack a bit of fitness at times to get back into shape, but that will come. Credit to Lampard for hiring the right coaches and seeing and improving the issues quickly. He player evaluations have been spot on and is getting the players fitter, stronger, together and the confidence is improving each week. This is without 3 of the most impactful players and now with Grimes who will gel the units together becoming a really interesting time.

The other credit goes to Doug, because that was a hard decision to make. But i don't think many are not seeing his point now.

Completely agree with this. Have moaned all season saying I don't rate any of the centre backs. Amazing transformation from the Norwich game. The three of them yesterday I thought were superb. Communication appeared to be great.

It leads to us getting the ball back quicker as clearences tend to come to our Cb's in opposition half and we keep them penned in.

We got it wrong a few times even whilst leading vs Bristol City & Blackburn & it felt like an unnecessary risk but much improved in the last 2. I don't think it's a coincidence that's been when Binks hasn't played.

It's working, but if I was in Frank's coaching team I'd probably ask Dovin to start a bit higher up as he gives me the hibberdy jibberdys every time he stays on his line. I guess they know what they're doing though.

Felt like this is how we were set up in possession from the back , allen dropping in .. liked how we set up really we were only passing a couple of times before getting the ball forward

Milan's pace gives it that extra bit of security too. Would be more of a risk if he was out.

Agree. I think we've been ok passing between the lines before, but that extra bit of bravery in midfield not to pass it back again has also been noticeable.

Yes we are almost forcing attacking football which is a pleasant change
