You can't just remove the whole playing staff and replace it though. It's really not that surprising, You bring someone in to try and get a better tune out of them.. there are examples of this working and of course not working. He will probably be back again sometime in the future .I'm gutted as he has done some great things with the club, but lets be honest - it wasn't a surprise.
Just go back and read match threads on this forum, and how many references are made to tactics being wrong, wrong substitution decisions, not changing things up when needed, questionable interview comments.
I really don't like to say it because we have had some amazing times under Robins, but it appears to me that we need someone on board who is more tactically switched on, and knows how to change games, get the most out of our squad in different scenarios, and motivate the team. It really feels as though he has taken us as far as he can.
