No, you miss my point. AFTER the Sunderland game would make sense, for the sake of 2 more days. It's quite abnormal to sack a manager unless they've become completely unhinged this close to a game when you have a 2 week window just round the corner.Or it's to give somebody a couple of weeks with the players.

It wasn’t just a short period of bad form. Over the last 20-30 games we’ve lost far too many games.
If any other manager was in charge, we’d have called on him to be sacked based on form. Honestly say I would have. Perhaps sentiment and/or loyalty was clouding our judgement.
The worst spin: it is an act of disloyalty for everything MR has given to the club. That’s more in tune with my feelings as of right now.
The best positive spin I can put on this is that DK isn’t burdened by sentiment and maybe this difficult decision is best for the club.
I don’t believe that, but it is a possibility and only time will tell right now.
