He is very much in a Christine situation with us, most seen decent attributes but most understood he lacked in certain areas of his game that made people question his ability to play at a higher level. Christie has shown he can compete and has gone on to do well and learn his trade with the tools he had. I personally think Haynes will be the same, and can be coached and taught to add to the strengths he has that will allow him to compete at Championship level while improving his game. My only doubt is the desire of him to step up and be uncomfortable or stretch himself in a different environment.

He will no doubt be player at our club that will divide opinion on his ability or his consistency to be a good player. But good luck to him, if he goes to the championship, hope the lad earns and secures his future and proves a few wrong about his potential.

I'd say he is more inline with Jordan Clarke and Aaron Phillips than Christie. Yes a lot questioned certain aspects of Christies game, but Christie played well over c120 games for us over 3 seasons and was one of the first names on the teamsheet keeping out Clarke and Phillips.

As much as he has some raw talent, Haynes has not managed to do this, has been around the first team for longer than Christie and played around 1/2 amount of league games, pretty much every manager has overlooked him. I hope he stays.

I sort of understand the - 'wouldn't be bothered if he goes' with one or two of our players; however, that comes with a large caveat - only if we replace them with better payers. Saying we think Haynes is not quite the finished article, but then replacing him with a 'Foley' (I know it's not the same position, but you get the point)is a worry. We won't be able to judge until we see the quality of the ins versus outs.

We have Stokes so a back up left week is required. Haynes is replaceable for this role.

Stokes is too slow to play left back, they measure his sprint times using a calendar, ok as 3 man defence with another wing back or as a central defender but very slow, I'm sure the re was a goal away to Rochdale where he was left standing.

Exactly. Haynes played 27 games last season so one way or another would need to be replaced if he went.

In comparison to Haynes who can't defend at all and thinks having one good run a month makes him Danny Rose. Stokes is clearly good enough to play left back and is much better than Haynes. As it stands we have Camwell and possibly Leahy as back up left backs.

I can never understand the attraction of defenders that can't defend. As for his 27 games last season, I think that had Stokes been fit then Haynes could well have been let go in the January window as he'd have hardly go any game time. To say that Stokes is slow based on one game when he'd just come back from a long lay off is unfair.

No matter what fee we get whether it's 10 thousand or 10 million not a penny of it will be spent on the team

With the money that has come into this club in the last six months plus our "profit" mentioned by our leader before that .We should be able to provide M R with a better budget than anyone in this league but we wont We took more to Wembley than Accrington Stanley and Morecombe had at home all season .Biggest average home attendances anyone going to play in division2 Yet we cannot provide the cash.

Is that good enough? Top 8 budget when we are the 'biggest club' in the league with most likely one of the biggest attendances.

Top 8 budget, Mark Robins, one of the biggest home attendances, prob the biggest away attendance

yes, I would say that's good enough to challenge in this league

Think the play off positions are 6th last time I checked not 8th.
Like when Mowbray just missed out we didn't have a top six budget.
One year SISU will realise that if you get the right manager give him the right budget and you will get success which will lead to bigger crowds then more money ....

Many games next season will have the sky blue army out singing the home fans. That will only help the team

One game a season when they get a boost in budget from ccfc fans, but we will have a strong away following every away game, so it's more of a strength to us than a weakness

So one big away crowd a season means that they're going to compete with our budget when we'll most likely have the biggest home crowd by a country mile? We'll probably be one of the best attended clubs on season ticket sales alone. We'll probably be the best attended club on walk ups alone. Especially if we're doing well.

Surely a right manager improves the position of the team against the budget - only an average one achieves the related position. As for 6th check again

with the early bird ST sales alone we are already pushing towards the top 50% of attendances compared to L2 2016-17

We will initially as many predict a League 2 tour" for 1 season only. When this doesn't materialise, expect the usual away following of 4-500 after Christmas.

Epic fail for not knowing that division 4 include down to 7th for play offs!!!!
I just never in my life paid any attention to division 4 as a Cov fan. Unless it was the cup.
Have a word with yourself.
Embarrassingly even in division 4 we manage to give the poor bloody manager a budget out of the play offs!!!
That's the epic fail.
It is just some are far more acquiescent to the situation than others.
You keep plodding along it can only get better. Next season or so I am sure it will.
Remind me before I do an epic fail again (lol) what are the conference player budgets and play off places? Wouldn't want to be annoyed that we don't give our manager a budget that is in the play offs, then despite the fact I am right because it is one place above it's an epic fall (classic)
You really are a numpty

Sorry just get a a tad annoyed with certain ameoba's on this site who nibble away at anyone who has a cheek to defend our club.
I mean is it really worth wetting your pants that someone is annoyed that we don't have a top six budget in division four. When top 7th might do. When in fact our budget is top bloody 8. You should be uncomfortable to have to point it out saying words such as (totally get your point however.....) not do it with such ghee aka # epicfail
Which highlights to me #epicpleb
Sorry the bloke is a numpty who is generally happy for Cov to regarded as a mediocre football team if we are lucky!
