but if it's a formal offer, at least it's a starting point for proper negotiations to take place, none of this verbal rubbish

we can't expect it to happen overnight, we just need to continue making our feelings known about SISU and take it from there

Could you invest the £30 million on top of this though

I hope for our clubs sake it goes through. It wont make an ounce of difference regarding signing player, not ones that command a fee anyway, as any deal wont be sorted over night. Plus the FA will have to do a 'fit and proper person' test.

I honestly don't think SISU will accept anything until they have taken as much money from the club as they can before they go. They will wait until any possible sale of Dann from Birmingham, money owed to us for Gunnarson (unless we've already had this) and any possible sales of Turner, Clingan or the Juke. Parasites!!!!! :blue::blue::blue:

sisu aint gonna accept this. Unfair 2 mess with fans hopes. By the time any takeover happens we will be league 1.

i have thought of payback agreements if we get promoted etc, but 1) i cant see sisu going 4 this, 2) why has it taken hoff so long to put this £1 bid in?

the £1 for the shares is of no consequence its what is paid to the SISU funds that is the crux of it. If the offer was not substantially better than the last one then it isnt going to happen any time soon.

Have a feeling a lot of peoples hopes were raised only to be greatly disappointed

It is possible that we will all see that dreaded Club Statement tomorrow with suntan Ken spouting off about how unacceptable the offer is. Well if they fancy continuing to lose £500k each month and eventually see the club go down and into admin, then they are fools. Besides deals for players are normally over a period of time. So say for example Juke sold for £2m over 24 months, £83k or so per month, then the takeover happens shortly after, the new owners will get the majority of the fee as the fee is to the club so there is no real benefit of a firesale that will take the club down... More protests may be in order before there is any real developments...

i thing gh should offer percentage payments to sisu based on future player sales from the team as it stands at the moment inc dann and gunnar. also a slice of any monies we get from the league for our finishing position for the next few years. surely this would be a decent enough deal for both parties

I'm going to assume that if SISU turn this down again and start making unreasonable demands Hoffman's men will lose interest. In which case SISU will be taking us down to League 1 and worse because let's be honest, does anybody really believe they're having meaningful discussions with other investors?

Let's hope Hoff's consortium have a little more leeway if need be and this is just the starting point of their haggling :-s

Well at least the new owners will have no option but to offer "kid for a quid" considering they will have paid that for the club

clearly this is media talk. You cannot buy a club for a quid and ignore that it has £30m of debts and is losing £250K a month, which is why none of us can buy the club.

It is what GH and Co intend to do about the other matters which is important not only to SISU but to us fans. If they intend to actually pay off that £30m owed to SISU by borrowing from a bank then we will be in even more sh*t than we are now because then you would have to add interest payments to the outgoings. Think of the Glazers who bought Man U with none of their own money and saddled the club with debt that any other club would have folded under.

In my estimation anyone coming in to CCFC needs £100m if they intend to pay off SISU, invest in the team and buy a stake in the ground. Mike Ashley has just made record profits but he doesn't intend to put any more into Newcastle. Just think about that.

Let's move on from the £1 offer malark. That is not the offer.

The detail of the offer is to take on the £30m debts and the refinancing SISU have done and mortgaging our assets (training ground etc).

£1 is a nominal amount in terms of taking the shares off them.

SISU would have paid a £1 for the club a few years back. They took the debt on. Hoffman will do the same but the hope is they can ease the debt slightly and go straight for the Ricoh share.

Ken knows this as well but is being a pathetic fool with us fans.

Would agree this is just a starting point for negotiations and they will obviously turn down the 1st offer. As for other meaningful discussions with other investors, well I could laugh if it wasn't so sad, such a load of bullsh*t from the lying orange snake.

Lets get this straight. SISU bought the club initially for £1. It is worth no more now (some would say less) than it was then. Therefore the value of the shares is still £1. If someone like GH took on the club he would have at least £30mill. worth of debt to deal with since SISU have never paid it off; they have simply "serviced" it. As for the current board; they ae trying to de-rail any takeover deal as they will loose their highly paid jobs once the club is sold. This explains their stupid stance towards the GH bid.

They havent serviced the debt. The debt is paid off and now owing to SISU instead.
